    Hi All,
Here is the deal for the syndicate game on Sunday April 1st. Below are the players involved in this. If you are on the reserve list you are IN. Those who have not confirmed, please do so. The game will be a freezeout with just a 10% reg (thanks JP) There is a paddy power qualifier a few hours later should you wish to play in that also.

The GAME - A Freezeout. (stack/blinds to be decided)
Cards dealt - 12.30 (unfortunately this is as late as we can have it (sorry Jacques & Savage, you have to leave early from the weist.)
Winner will represent the Syndicate in the Paddypower open. Winner to have a 20% share of any prize. The Syndicate will divide the other 80%.

NOTE: It is quite possible we don't get a full turnout for this despite people confirming, to get around this. We shall play with minimum of 20 players on the day. So the ticket will be divided amonst the 20. (More money if we cash)

I expect a good turnout. I will *BUMP* and PM all players NEXT Wednesday the 28th to reconfirm.

    Willie Clynes - 0879668920.

Can anyone pm me the GPS coords and/or full address details for the Red Cow?

Since the # of confirmed people is quite low, should we try to bring some more Galwegian fish?

Also, re. the date; if this is a joke Solkshaer I'll find you.....:D ;)

    willie,

is there space for 1 more? A friend is interested in playing

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 567 ✭✭✭Solksjaer

    Hi Karl,

the entry fee will depend on numbers, I was hoping for 35 players at 100+ a ahead 10 reg. The TV thing could be cool.

We should get a fair few as 20+ have now confirmed.

JP....There is room. Please PM his name for my list for next Wednesday when I will get final number confirmations...

You can put me down as a reserve as i wont know if im able to go till late next week.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,924 ✭✭✭shoutman

I think it would be better if we had a lot of people playing ie. 40/50 with the top 35 getting into the syndicate and and the ones out before that getting nought, it would drive down the buy in and also im sure there will be a few people who said they are in but who wont turn up on the day for one reason or another.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 567 ✭✭✭Solksjaer

good idea, methinks though we'lll be doing well to make the full 35. If we get as seems likely 25ish, its only max 150, but so far no reserve is being turned down

    He willy,

I'm trying to see if i can get a ticket on the cheap which will keep the price down for all syndicate players.

    LLoyd,

What happens if you win this ticket? Are you going to play for the syndicate and give up your own ticket along with the percentages people have bought from you?

Tony, I have no intention of actually winning the syndcate game. I will be gambling like a madman early doors folks, so watch out!!

I'm only involved because the winner will probably be a decent player and I like the idea of a percentage of someone else's action.

why not play to win it. You are then in a position to bargian a higher percentage to the runner up who willno doubt play.

    **I WIN****

    Hi Willie,

I was planning on doing the same structure as the IO with 10k chips. I think this would be the best practice for the winner.

    1st 6 levels 20 min blinds

    25-50
    50-100
    100-200
    150-300
    150-300, 25 ante
    200-400, 25 ante

    Break 10 Min, Chip Up
    Next 4 Levels 25 Mins

    300-600, 25 Ante
    400-800, 50 Ante
    600-1200, 100 Ante
    800-1500, 100 Ante

    Break 10 Min, Chip
    All remaining Levels 30 Mins

    1000-2000, 200 Ante
    1500-3000, 200 Ante
    2000-4000, 300 Ante
    3000-6000, 500 Ante
    4000-8000, 500 Ante
5000-10000, 1000 Ante Frozen Until Finished

If players wish to use a different structure i'm open to suggestions. Maybe have a poll on it?

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,850 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Yep, I am good to go Willie. Also, if one of the players who wins this either already has, or else does afterwards, I propose that the highest finisher who does not have a ticket represent the syndicate, as I would want to play for 100% of myself if I won a ticket somewhere else as opposed to selling it and playing for 20% of myself as part of the syndicate. This also takes into account the fact that several of the 'confirmed runners' already have their tickets to the main event.

Let's not scare them off, but yeah , the above sounds reasonable and fair to all.
