He was pretty lucky earlier in the tourny and as he said himself was fortunate to dodge most of the pros, but definately played a good final table and heads up.

probably true, i was just hoping for some sort of competition to be honest, took away from it that he was leading for four days and never once got a big hit

I have to say, I watched pretty much all of the final table and Gold played very well, never really got out of place, was being aggressive but not a maniac and he did have his quiet patches, played the big stack well so fair play to him for taking it.
