46 million? That's sick. Does Gold actually have any poker playing skills? Or is he this years Kanter?

I have to say Gold has played well at final table, been aggressive but not being out of line.

    Hendon Mob DB: http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=42814

I'm not particularly fond of him (probably because he's loaded anyway), but he's had some reasonable results so he's far from terrible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,638 ✭✭✭Iago

big hand there, Allen cunningham made to fold when he had Paul Wasicka drawing dead. Lost about $4.5m on the hand

..now paul raises to $1m and allen goes all-in, paul folds and allen picks up the pot

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,537 ✭✭✭Ste05

I thought Gold was playing really well, his problem was showing too many hands to Cunningham for free, and it's already come back to bite him on the ass.

Gold is actually playing pretty well, he has been showing a lot of hands though.
Very funny when he accidently folded A10 face up (they hit his mountain stack) to a cunningham raise
Flop comes JQK - anyone else & he was calling theyre preflop raise with A10 methinks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,383 ✭✭✭Juan Pablo

Cunningham gone, knocked out by Gold TT vs Gold's KJ which improved.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 336 ✭✭Bp!

    F**K !! Cunningham gone

His 10 10 was no good for Smarmy Golds K J

Just missed how the hand got played out...assume Cunningham raised and Gold pushed?

    Dammit anyway

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 407 ✭✭modmuffin

    FCUK

    had €50 on him!!

looks like its a formality now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,383 ✭✭✭Juan Pablo

Binger raised to 1m, Gold called, Cunningham pushed for 6.5m, Binger folded, Gold instacalled with KJ. K on the flop.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,183 ✭✭✭jobless

has a world series ever dominated like this before?......he seems to hit a great amount of hands.....big pairs over big pairs and wins a lot of 50 50's

Thats sick...even if he figured Cunningham for a squeeze play...insta call with K J ? and a chance to double up the better of the other 3 players?

Such a pity Would have loved Cunningham to win

62 million , talk about crushing a tournament! So much for him having a private life now!

That's it exactly. For a week straight he's been hit in the face by the deck. He can't do a thing wrong.

Does Gold bat for the other side by the way?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,183 ✭✭✭jobless

    luck box does it again.....
plus he should have had a 10 min penalty for flashing the jack

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,183 ✭✭✭jobless

would anyone else have folded 7,8 spades there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,383 ✭✭✭Juan Pablo

Unbelievable. Gold knocks out Binger with an oesd on the flop when all the money went in (Binger with TPTK). Naturally he fills on the turn!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,048 ✭✭✭jem

NO un real , gold is sucking out players all over the place, playing well but geting very very lucky.

Waisika would have it the flush on the river.

he wouldnt have been in that hand if the tourney director had seen him flash the jack to binger a few hands previously.......biggest tournament in the world on live tv and thats not spotted by the director.......his luck is in alright!

Does anyone know whats Gold's link to Johnny Chan? Chan is running a muck for him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,183 ✭✭✭jobless

he did some tv work with chan i believe....chan thought him to play better

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 474 ✭✭delanec8

He helped Chan out with some book and tv stuff.

Ive watched almost all night and while he has won every showdown ive seen, he has played really really well.

must have a piece of him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,924 ✭✭✭Fatboydim

Apparently he used to be james Gandolfini's agent - I'm beginning to like the luckbox more.

Ok no I don't... But he's going to win isn't he... So I better get to like him fast. At least if he is gay it's something to cheer about. As that should offend enough redneck Americans so that entry next year will be easier.

Ye I watched most of the night too, and thought he played well too, I'd say the TV programme will butcher alot of the good play though...

Chan is wearing Bodog gear. I thought that last year he signed a contract with Paradise. Strange.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,924 ✭✭✭Fatboydim

Wasicka's only got to double up twice to be even.

Yeah i don't imagine they will show the build up to richard lee's exit. Gold had been reraising a lot of Lee's bets and it seemed that he just got frustrated and took a stand. It was fascinating to see live but ESPN coverage you won't see how Gold set him up for that play.

I actually thought that JJ push was terrible, there was just something about that Limp raise that I thought was his usual QQ, KK or AA move...

But BTW, WhyTF is Gold eating at the table?? Surely he realises this is the part that will be shown on telly for the next 3 years!!

    not over yet.......
gold bet the river with q98xx......and binger was thinking of calling.......gold gave a bit of speach play saying the had the straight then flipped over a jack......binger foldid and gold showed his jack high bluff

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 474 ✭✭delanec8

Oh yeah i think the JJ push was horrible but you could see that Gold had set him up by reraising him at least 5 times earlier and making him lay down his hand.
