Having just got back to Scotland, after being on holiday in Ireland, I set about trying to procure an Electric Picnic ticket. The main website for the tickets is sold out. Ticketmaster is waiting for another batch, I ran into problems when I tried to buy online from Myticket.ie, for all you moaning about the Irish Maestro card, I discovered I couldn't get through the processing stage of payment with my Scottish Maestro card. A quick phone call to Mytickets helpline, informed me that they only accept Irish or European Maestro cards. So it works the other way too, just wondering, has you guys not heard of 3Vvouchers, they originated from Ireland, disposable visa card numbers with certain amounts you can get topped up at your local shop with the 3V signs. Anyone know where I can purchase an Electric Picnic ticket online with a UK Maestro card.

It seems dabs.ie do not accept "irish maestro".

OK, I need to clear up this dabs.ie and maestro thing. I was about to order an external hd from them but decided to first check with their customer service team via the online chat.

I explained that I had an irish maestro card. When asked if it was a laser card, I said yes (as they are one in the same) and that the card had both laser and maestro logos. Was then told that these cards are not accepted. So then I asked what three digits should be entered if a card doesn't have a CVV2 (as is the case with these cards) and was told that because these cards don't have a CVV2 they are not accepted.

So, as some people here are using their maestro cards on dabs, the question is.... HOW? And what digits do you enter to fill the CVV2 field? And what bank issued your card (are AIB cards less compatible than others?)

My life would be so much easier if I could just order from dabs when I wanted with this maestro instead of having to hike out to the next town to get a 3V voucher every time...

Anyone know of any sites that sell's clothes?! I spent all day yesterday looking at stores in England trying to by with my Lasor then realised the Maestro is different to Ireland. Such a bummer!

I just ordered a external hd and gfx card using my AIB 'maestro/laser/whatever the hell it actually is card' and now I expect to have it cancelled after reading this thread...damn. it seemed to accept the long number written on the card and I used 000 as security code but I'm now pretty sure this ain't gonna work.
