    I get nearly 500 miles to a tank which is 90% N11 driving
    which is roughly 36mpg:D

    Something similar here

    Around 500 per tank, but have got up 565 driving outside of the city on country roads for a week or so :)

    Ye have to feel sorry for the city folks. I didn't think "city" driving would affect the consumption by that much

    Cormie, keep living the dream :D

    Considering its v-max is 250mph you'd still have covered 50 miles in that time :D

    hmmm, have a 1.4 93 golf like the OP, can get 500+ miles out of it if I mother it a little. Doubt i'd get 100 miles from a tenner though. At 115.7 cent a litre for unleaded i make that over 52 miles to the gallon. Thats 624 miles from a 55 litre (12 gallon) tank.

    1995 Honda Accord Aerodeck 2.0 Automatic - 27.5mpg (mixed driving).... About 51 Miles for a tenner - 280 miles on a tank costing approx 50 euro!

    2003 Fiat Scudo 2.0JTD - About 750 miles for 5 minutes at the company pump :D

    50 mpg from a 230K 94 Vectra 1.7 TD ,same from the 71 Fiat 850 and absolutley horrific consumption on a 69 Triumph 2000 with dodgy carbs

    My little golf with the big heart says thanks TempestSabre:) . I have a 104km (65 mile) round trip to work everyday on my own, so the car isn't carrying much excess weight. I try not to use the car if i can walk instead, meaning less short fuel draining trips. I always top up the tank in the morning in the belief that it will get more fuel into the tank (whether this works out in practice though is anyone's guess). I think i'll top up the tank, set the tripometer to zero, and check my tyre pressure on Monday morning. Time to see how trifty the ol' gal is once more:)

    My new rodius,which I'm informed by everyone who gets in it is absolutly beautifull,thank you very much,is particularly thirsty,mpg I not sure off, it's stated in the manual as 22 mpg at 62.I put in 40 quid and got about 200 klm town miles which is actually worst than my 5.8 mustang on a long run. I'm wondering is there a run in period where the mpg will improve, I say wondering but I mean praying,there is only 950 k on the clock so far,if it doesn't improve I could end working for nothing.:D

    I drive a VW Corrado G60. Driving short distances gets 18mpg. Long haul gets about 22mpg. Thats the price you pay for the supercharger. the only way to get better mileage is just not to drive it :rolleyes:

    00 Citroen Saxo 1.1 (hey - I'm a college student :D )

    Best = 400 miles from a 40 litre tank = 46mpg
    Usual is 320 miles which I think is around 36mpg

    Never really thought about it but thats fairly crap for a 1.1 isn't it ? :confused:
