    Is LA Noire worth €20?

Went for Orcs Must Die anyway, was waiting for it to go on sale.

€3.74 for Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box?

Back in 2007 you'd be paying €74.99 for it.

I'd advise waiting another bit, you could pick it up for 9.99 in the steam sales from what I recall. The deal should crop up again in the next few months. :D I'm very patient....

    NO. snore fest!

If you mean generally, you can get LA noire for cheaper than 20e.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 956 ✭✭✭RiseToTheTop

LA Noire isn't nothing like GTA. I can remember at the start of the game thinking so, but it didn't come true.

The game is very slow paced, there is only the odd bit of action. If you so much as tip as car on the road your reward for completeing a case gets reduced.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 18,115 ✭✭✭✭ShiverinEskimo

LA Noire is just gimmicky shít.

Two or three crime scenes in it's just a case of going through the motions again and again and walking in circles around the scenes waiting to find a piece of evidence only for it to turn out to be nothing half the time.

50 percent off sale at Origin. Its an awful awful site to navigate round, I couldnt get a proper list of the games on sale, but I found that if you know of an EA game try searching for it and if its there chances are its half price.

Here is the list. It only shows like 12 titles but there are more than this to be found

    Crysis 2 €9.99
    Medal of Honor: Airborne €2.49
    Gotham city imposters €7.49

There are loads more. Pretty much all their games except the really new stuff.

I already have the three Sly games on PS2 and Ico as well as 2 copies of SotC, yet I'm severely tempted to buy them all again on PSN at these prices.

Can someone knock some sense into me?
Surely there isn't that much difference in a HD version of the Sly trilogy - their cartoony, cell-shaded quality already looked lovely on PS2.

I had a look at some videos of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Classics HD and Ico does look dramatically crisper but I was never bothered by SotC's framerate so is it worth buying them all over again? Is there anything lost in their transition to PS3?

Btw, these are all fantastic games, if you haven't played them already, I highly recommend picking them up.
I'll definitely be purchasing Siren Blood Curse, which should be interesting cos I'm a big, scaredy-cat!

Yeah.. the website is pretty awful. Most of the games have the discount but you cant get to them unless you know the name and search for it.
