I like the Honcho, looks like you need to cut the wheel arches a bit.

    Where in Dublin are you?

Just finished building the DeAgostini spitfire (ha ha ha yeah yeah I know). The reason it took so long is I have never done anything like it before and I was missing 5 episodes ha ha.

Note the excellent craftsmanship on the nose cone. How skillfully the pieces were cut out to fit the engine. Man I'm good :)

Not the same vein of models that everyone else seems to have posted, so I hope people won't mind. I didn't see it written that the thread is for cars only, but if this is the case could someone please redirect me to the right thread for my post. Cheers.

So these are some of my wargaming models. I have hundreds but these are some of my favourites. Note the bases are unfinished in pictures 1, 2, and 5.

My parents gave me a box of stuff from the house the other day, these two were part of it.

EDIT: Does anyone want these? I've no real use for them, free to a good home.

Just thought I'd share a few pic of my N scale layout. Based on the Rheinland-Pfalz region. It a modern image layout running mostly german stock. I hope to add more international stock that typically transits this region. I call the layout the RhAD Bahn. Picture are views of the station area, refulling depot, A class V60 shunter at the engine shed, and a Class 103 electric loco on a siding. The Layout is by no means complete - there is a lot of scenic work left and the off stage storage area is not complete.

My 00 gauge model railway. Using imagination to create a station terminus / industrial scene. Ballast is next big job.

Manic are those 1/35 scale? nice finish, what type of air brush did you use ?

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 16,230 Mod ✭✭✭✭Manic Moran

Yes, both 1/35, one Tamiya, Trumpeter.

Airbrush was an Aztek, with primarily Model Master paints on the Type 89, Tamiya on the M60. The NATO colours in the XF60-63 range are pretty good.

Which reminds me, another Trumpeter. Type 98

'Fairway' - a Class A3 'Pacific' loco of the old L.N.E.R, designed by Sir Nigel Gresley, and ran between King's Cross and Newcastle hauling the Northumbrian Express.

The coaches show the old 'blood and custard' livery.

The compartment coaches had individual doors on one side and a corridor on the other side !!!

Which one, the parkzone radian, or the multiplex cularis in post #657 here?

The radian would be suited to someone starting off, and it was the radian i used for the photos i think you looked at on the photography site and there are some on a thread i started in this forum. (A few photos taken from the parkzone radian glider) which also has photos of the glider and camera setup itself.

I got the radian here http://www.squadronleader.co.uk/category/ParkZone_Radian_Glider,b.html
Its the parkzone radian RTF(Ready To Fly) £189.99 and £14 shipping, in euros thats about €235 and has everything included to fly. I think they are a great aircraft for that price.
