is that normal for the de-railer??
When you have it big on the front and big on the back, yes that's normal. But you shouldn't really use that gear, either when riding or when taking a photo. Euro rules state that the bike should be in the highest gear when taking a photo so as to assure maximum aesthetic pleasing.

Normal but wrong. You shouldn't be using that large-large gear combination as you are putting too much sideways stress on the chain.

Not often you see a bike with both crabon bars and a pie plate.

You may be fast, and you may have cute dogs and a nice bike, but that's still a driveside fail!

He means your bike is facing the wrong way for the camera :)

Also, Fido looks like he is about to cock a leg and degrease your chain.

    Hi PlanetX,

Thats one cool bike, not entirely sure which model it is?
Any chance of a test report?
I am interested in a custom geometry Echo, as my merlin works cr is rather twitchy due to it's 73.5 degree head tube angle.

    Happy Cycling:) SD....

That's a cheapo "Eclipse" with Campag Record. 53cm. January 2009. (Remember when the exchange rates were really good, combined with a sale ;))
Previous chariot was a Focus Variado Expert Aluminium so no comparison in rides. The Enigma, a few pounds lighter seems to accelerate a lot better, stiffer, lighter.

This thread makes me want to buy many new bikes.

I think that Storck I've been promising myself may be bought pretty soon.

Hi, I haven't cycled this yet. It is a warranty replacement for an R3-SL, which I got a bike fit done on. Both frames have the samw geometry. I might try removing one spacer at a time and see if it is ok.

    Boardsie in Canyon purchase shocker.

Canyon Ultimate AL, 58cm, 7.3kg as pictured.

Race bike frame swap. Will probably change stem to get more drop and reach.

edit: stem swapped, steerer cut, required position achieved. Thanks DirkVoodoo!

Was it the 'cankles' that swayed you towards the AL?

Neither yourself nor furiousox appear to have the VCLS seatpost which Canyon advertise as coming with both framesets/bikes? Did you buy an older model from the outlet store or are Canyon after pulling a fast one?

@ uberwolf - My Ultimate CF seems much stiffer than my previous carbon bike (BH Classic G2) and is much stiffer than any other bike that I've tried. I doubt you'll be disappointed with yours. Looking forward to seeing it up here.
