Well, study for exams begins then...might just head for the 20 euro and see how it goes...have a game monday and tuesday night too so I'll get some games in,

    It'll be an experience :)

    Oh, another thing

Is there a freeroll on beforehand?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,362 ✭✭✭Hitman Actual

Yeah, the freeroll on the day of the big game usually starts fairly early (around 4pm last month, I think). Note that rebuys and the top-up are 15 euro this time.

There are always some 30euro SNGs as well... winner gets a ticket plus reg and the extra 30 euro. And for the real die-hards, you might even get a one-hand omaha 30 euro SNG as well... one hand only, everyone turns over one card, flop dealt, everyone turns over next card, turn dealt, blah, blah, blah... winner takes all.

    Hi

i won a ticket in last thursdays freeroll and luke just told me that i had '270 euro credit' for the 250 game at the end of the month. i thought i would actually get a ticket? anyway what im wondering is how do i go about selling the ticket and whats a good price for it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,080 ✭✭✭Crumbs

You have to go through Luke to sell your ticket, so just ask him next time you're in there. As for the price, I'm not totally sure, but I think €200 - €240 is normal.

yeh i won another ticket last night so im probably gonna play one of them and sell the other. bit surprising that i won two in a row after never even getting to the last table before. must be getting better. or luckier.......... anyway one of the lads in the fitz offered me 200 euros and 10% of his winnings for the ticket. one of the other lads offered me 150euros and 15%. im probably gonna take the 200 euros and 10% but it sort of depends on whether their any good if i can get a percentage of winnings doesn't it? by the way ill take that 700 euros if its still going........

yeh its on tonight. freeroll at 4pm. 270euro game is at about 8pm. its near fitzwilliam square and Dail Eireann. or you could go from stephens green down baggot street and take a left after burger king. there small floodlights shining up at the entrance but theres no big sign.

Fair play to the lads that spent the time giving advice for the new comers(which was me a while back!).played in the fitz and the merrion. To be honest liked them both equally.Very friendly in both and very helpful.well thats my 2 cents worth, thanks again lads. :p

A bit out of date now mind you. The first thursday freeroll I played in had no more than 20 players.

On average how many runners does the freerolls attract and how many tickets are awarded?. Are rebuys and top ups €15?.

The freerolls in the merrion on Mondays and every second thursday are quite popular and easily fill 5 or 6 tables. Then, depending on how many runners, they have a few tickets for a wednesday game (€55) and a tuesday game(€110). The fitz - again depending on runners but normally easily filling 5 or 6 tables have tickets for the monthly €270 game.

Top ups and re-buys are €10.

Thinking of going to fitzwilliam tonight with a friend but i'm a bit apprehensive and not sure what to expect. Was looking at their website and it says €10 rebuys and 1 €10 top up which is grand but i was just wondering what the story is with the freeroll, is it just the 75mins before no more players are allowed join?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,881 ✭✭✭bohsman

Youll be fine, theres a good atmosphere and plenty of new players, yes its 75 mins for late entries, 90 mins of rebuys and then its a freezeout, search the forum thers plenty of threads on first time at the fitz etc
