Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

have you got morning prices? And was it stated as the max price paid out? It looks to me as if it was displayed as the minimum payout; a bit like the old Footy coupon where 8 homes were 12/1 (based on picking the 8 shortest priced home teams) yet you would still get more if it worked out more.
Regardless of this argument, there seems to be a chip on all in this forums shoulder in regards to bookmakers. They are not out to get you; they already have their margin built in; why would they need to? Some of you on here are gas the way you'se go on. This bookie is great; this bookie is ****e etc. The best bookie is the one going the best price for your selection at the time; you do not get paid for loyalty.

That's what I thought at first so I went up close to the screen to look.
It was: Pick a horse to place in X,Y,Z was evens Enhanced 10/3. I thought it would have been three novice races or something with short priced favs, couldn't believe that there was an enhancement so bad.

What were the morning prices? Most likely these specials are made at 10am/11am in the morning, when prices are only out. Hence somedays they look like **** and somedays they look like value of the week. However; i can't see the logic of you attacking companies when you cant even provide the prices they may have been when the special was set up.

    Already done.
Also, please quote where I directly attacked the company. I called the special ''tosh'' if that's what you're referring too. Clearly an uncalled for and harsh insult at the company!!

Im not going to get mods involved, but the word "on" was not in your original mail: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=75906327&postcount=101

It has actually been conveniently added just before your last post. i'll leave you to it anyway. Im not sure if your trying to convince me or yourself.

Substance not style mate. 2/1 "on" puts you even more in a hole.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

    It makes no difference.
5/4 and 1/2 still work out at better odds than their 2/1 ''special''.

Placed a bet on PP last night for a tennis game to break serve at 2.1, being told "There was an error on site Paddy and the market was left up too late. Any bets placed after this time were voided."

The bet was in the live market with no stream and they're saying it had already won before I'd placed on it.... I'd 200 on and now its void..... Is there anything I can do?

Placed a bet on a horse to place with Bet365, apparently it's only if you back to win or e/w that you get to watch the race. Is this same with all the other bookies? Horse actually won the race so should have backed to win and watched the race:p.

On Betfair win or place bet allows access to the "live" stream, in fairness it's not too bad at all, all you want is to see the race.

Yeah, it was just before the off when I went to watch it and I would have put 50c on the win if I'd known but didn't have time, just a bit of a skag.

The trick here is to lay the rag for €2.00 at odds of 1.01 (your liability is €0.02) and leave it as a "keep" bet so you can watch the race for free (unless the rag wins in which case it costs you 2c)

Getting my winnings out of my Bwin account is proving a nightmare!

I deposited with my mastercard but they won't let me withdraw onto it. Need a visa card, which I don't have. And I just read there that I'm also going to have to send them in a copy of my ID.

Not to mention that when I had a problem with them, it took 3 emails before I got a response, and this was over a 2 week period. Ridiculous, would highly recommend people stay away from them.

I don't even like the markets they have, no wincasts for a start!

I've heard terrible things about them.

Got good  customer service in Hackett's today.

Went in to get money back on a non runner, and I found a docket I had from about a month ago too that I forgot about, it was Spurs -1 v Shamrock Rovers that time they bet them about 4 nil,I can't remember the exact score.

Walked up to the girl anyway and said ''Hi how are things'' as I gave her my two dockets. She just looked at me as if I was disturbing her and she took the two.
Threw one back down and said there was nothing on it. I thought it'd be the non runner one,but it was the Spurs one.

I said that they won by about 4 goals and she just said ''Ya well the computer says it's a loser'' and just looked at me. I asked her was she sure that it was about a month ago, and she tuts and says ''aw it was a month ago''. Shouts at a customer in the shop asking was that bet a winner. He confirmed it and she gave me my money.

She stank of attitude and I find that a strange tactic to confirm results, shouting at a customer she had been chatting to.

Wanted to back a horse in America today. About 5 mins before the off I see 365 have it listed as a non runner, but it's the wrong horse it was a different non runner.

Went onto live help straight away and she said she'd check for me. I had told her I wanted to back the horse and it isn't available. While I'm waiting for her to come back it wins. I'm told I'll get a free fiver bet for my inconvenience and no sign of it

can you lodge and withdraw from ladbrokes shops in cash lads,(for online betting),sick to the teeth of boyles, and wouldnt go near paddy power again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,758 ✭✭✭✭thesandeman

Yep. Just sign up for an Odds On card in a shop. Think you might get 30euro in free bets as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 477 ✭✭plasteritup

cheers for that,30 in free bets ...how bad, just looking around there site there, christ boyles online are rubbish compared with almost everyone else,

what finally made me jump today was i done the survey online for a fiver free bet,i self excluded from casino games, and no way would they transfer it to sports for me or poker, being betting with them for about 6 years and have had bout 2 free bets in that time, stated all that to em but was told basically tuff ****,all that time and lets face it money with em and they wouldnt accomodate moving the fiver,**** that.,i still done the survey.

been lots of other instances with customer services being really thick and cheeky almost,

the football market is almost no excistent on the site, the bet and watch is always having problems, the last three times i asked customer services i was asked did i place the qualifing bet,you dont know how irritating that is.i could go on and on but **** it:)

Ladbrokes customer service is no better though. They have a tenner held hostage from me for about 2 years.
They tried to give it back to me a couple of times but they keep giving to my account number but they add a #1 at the end of my number every time.
I kept explaining to them what they were doing wrong but my Gibaraltarian doesnt seem up to scratch.
Dealing with the shops is grand though and their morning prices are better than PP and Boyles. You get Clubcard points every time you use the card in the shops as well.

Whilst I appreciate most of the rest of your post is poor customer service, the Mastercard issue is self-imposed by the card company themselves, not BWin.

Mastercard don't allow withdrawals back to the vast majority of their cards from gambling companies.

Fair enough. Did not realise that. Just a pity they don't allow deposit with laser. Anyway they allowed me to do a bank transfer so did that during the week, then had to upload my license which I did. Still waiting for it to go into my account. Hopefully it's not too much longer.

Still won't be betting with them again.

i done a bet on a boxer to KO,TKO,DISQ on paddy powers, when u put KO on a docket, the 3 of them methods are a standard bet on every bookmaker's but when i rang powers about it,they said KO and TKO is just the grouped betting!! my boxer won through disqualification! thats a winner for me as far as im concerned,im doing boxing all my life and every bookmaker has whatever boxer u pick as down as TKO,KO,AND DISQ, AND IF U COMPARE PRICES WITH ALL THE BOOKMAKERS THEY ARE THE EXACT SAME NEARLY AS PADDYPOWERS BUT POWERS ARE THE ONLY ONES I NOTICED DONT HAVE DISQ TYPED DOWN BESIDE KO,TKO EVEN THO THEY ARE OFFERING THE SAME ODDS IF NOT WORSE WHEN U COMPARE IT TO EVERY OTHER SITE! who or where do i complain about this! this cant be right!! they have the worse online team also, wheter it be boxing, basketball, american football, cricket,no one seems to know any rules!! its a joke!

The goal was initially credited to Sanchez on many websites (and on the television), but he didn't in fact get a touch on Messi's free kick.

None of the camera angles were very conclusive.
