Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    This is most likely because either the theory is really out there wit wacky conspiracy stuff or it's not very well thought out. Or both.
    Either way he's learned that if people hear his reasons they rightly dismiss them out of hand for being silly.
    By avoiding explaining his theory he can pretend to have a valid point.

    Explain using logic and reason. Measures aren't permanent, we know this, because they have been continually lifted. When this started happening, all you have done is modify your argument to suit that, completely contradicting yourself. This is a hallmark of an irrational belief, one that constantly shifts and changes.

    The 'flu season will provide the symptoms. I want to hope this COVID stuff is coming to an end, but that's more and more doubtful.

    So if you were the minister for health in Ireland, and responsible for the covid response,
    what would you do, as regards opening up, etc?

    And can you propose what you think the result would be, as regards:
    cases?
    deaths?
    hospital ICU occupancy?
    hospital capacity to treat non-covid patients?

    No need to shout. Doing so doesn't lend much to your credibility.

    Just calmly explain what specific measures are going to be permanent and why.
    Maybe you can start with the claim that most other conspiracy theorists have settled on as the only permanent measure.
    Why do you believe masks are going to be made permanent? How does that benefit people behind the conspiracy.

    The truth is this is the starting point for your research so it is easier for you to go down rabbit holes than someone who is less inclined to look for the conspiracy theory angle in everything.

    Do you actually believe there is a secret government agency in Ireland that has the intention of making covid restriction measures permanent?
