All in all it had to be seen as a missed opportunity.

Avoided the Saturday meltdown and still inside the top 10 making the turn on Sunday.

Not good enough on the greens.

A serious case of what could have been for Seamus. Maybe not to win it but he got off to some start and got to within two of the lead at one stage early on and was set up for a big payday.

His weakness is mental, he has every shot in the book - he wouldn’t be on tour if he didn’t. The margins on the PGA Tour are ridiculously small. He’s too prone of silly mistakes, the three putt from 10 feet is a prime example. Still, he battled well in a strong enough field and got himself a few quid.

Anyone know what money he needs to earn to get/keep his card? He’s on what’s more or less a Tier 2 card so he only has a certain number of starts in order to earn the money/points needed to get his card. He kept his card two years in a row with earnings of $750,000 & $800k+. His earnings so far are a quarter of that so he has a bit to go but as we all know, one week could change everything. Good luck to him, he deserves a break.

    Not playing this weekend........

Would the birdie putt on 18th would have got him in as he'd have finished T8?

Think it would have, top 10 qualifies you as far as I know, he is playing this week, in the San Antonio challenge on the Korn Ferry tour, teeing off at 1:50 on Thursday, and 7pm on Friday. Might go well, hopefully

Looks like he's going to be 1 shot shy of the cut on Korn ferry Tour.

Bogie on his 17th has pushed him out.

Decent first round in the 3M Open. 3 under and inside the top 30.

He’s doing well. Looks like he has made good use of the break. Hopefully no silly mistakes and makes some money this weekend. It’d be great to see him do well, regain his status and hold on to it for years to come.

Two over after 9 and dangerously close to the cut line. All too familiar a story.

A 3-putt from 3 feet in that 8 as well. That’s just atrocious.

Well gone now after a 78 to be +4 and well outside the cut.

    Not many opportunities left.

He was poor in the second round. He was out in the afternoon and the wind got up which didn’t help. He spoke to Rich Beem and said where he’d be playing next. I missed it as was on a call.

He's playing in the Barracuda this week. It's run in parallel with the WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational so relatively easy for someone like him to get a slot. But it's at the bottom of the ladder in terms of prize money - along with the Barbasol (cancelled in 2020) it's the lowest value tournament on the PGA Tour played in the mainland US at just $630,000.

He came T25 in the Barracuda in 2019 but made the field for the FexEx St. Jude in 2018 and came T12.

Joint second after the first round on +11 on the messed up Stableford format

Was fancied by a few going into this. Leader in birdies gained in this field which suits the format in question (whatever convoluted way they are doing it 😂)

I saw the notification for his score, just saw + whatever, and thought what a disaster. This at least explains it!

    Currently leading the tournament.
By my reckoning its the first time he has been in this position

Disappointing last 6 holes. Hopefully he'll be able to keep things going this evening.

It’s not, Seamus led a couple tournaments In the 2016/17 season going into the final day and never even threatened. He always fell away on the final day.

Birdied the last to squeeze into the Top 10 after 5 birdies and 3 bogeys today to shoot +7 today and +32 for the tournament!

    Finished T-9 earning $95,375

US Tour Earnings this season $304,379 so he should jump from 181 on the list to round 155 on the money list.

Gets him into the Wyndham Championship and will probably be he qualifies for before the Fed Ex wraps up.

He's 160 on the money list now

3 under today after 16 holes of his final round and 9 under for the tournament which is T-33 at the moment in the Wyndham Championship.

Has missed some really bad short putts on the back nine.

Finished - 10 with 4 sub par rounds, the best on - 4 on Sunday. Currently tied 25th.
