Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good to have the site back, someone must have forgotten to feed the hamsters ;)

Deskside with a coffee, listening to the wind and rain outside. A bit of a downer of a day...

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Or separated from their calves. Takes them three days and nights to stop grieving. Same with sheep when they take the lambs

Was up before sunrise to try and take a pic to rival Daves one but no sunrise this morning. Heading out to the shop, getting ready to brace myself for the weather outside, windy as fook.

What are you in the garden at this time of year? My grass needs a last cut but I don't think it'll dry enough to do it this year.

Yep , in the sheds . If I walk up to the top of the road at a certain time morning and evening, there they are , crossing the road either going to freedom for the day or back to shelter for the night .

    Coffee time here .

I'm in werk. Am awful tired today. One bad nights sleep does feck me up for the week.

I was having a look last night on the Social and Personal magazine site. They have "real" weddings. They were amazing and the couples were just gorgeous. I was curious as to how some managed to have their day in their home. Well. They did not have regular houses for a start but massive country piles with acres of garden. So I won't be taking any inspiration from there :p

Normal winter practice. They are all in here ; have been for weeks. Too cold at night for them

Went to work and decided to take a half day, did a long walk in the wind and rain, bought a takeaway coffee and it was lovely, home now and couchside, I'd put money on it that I will be in the same spot until bedtime apart from a few trips to the kitchen for sustenance (coffee, chocolate, crisps), I'm on strike.

I watched Hill House.. I liked it. Didn’t bother me though. I think this is a bit creepier. Old English gaffs seem more likely for ghosts in my head :D

I actually watched Martyrs after you were talking about it and was wondering what you were on about, didn't seem so bad. Then the thing happened and now I understand.

I feel bad about this but ... I was buying cakes in the bakery during the week ( my mam was with me as we were doing her groceries), the small cakes ar 95c or 6 for a fiver so I was getting 3 for myself so told my mam to pick 3, as the assistant was putting them into the bag a big fly landed and hopped all over the cakes but we all pretended we didn't see it. I was shocked but hadn't the balls to tell her I didn't want them , my mam couldn't be consoled laughing as soon as we left the counter and kept on bursting out laughing as we were shopping. Not a hope of either of us eating them so when I got to the car I gave 3 to my dad to take home (as a treat ☺️) and the lads here ate my 3. I never mentioned the fly but I know my dad wouldn't be bothered about it at all and would be skitting at the fact that myself and my mam wouldn't eat them tbh. Anyway, I'm never again buying there again, I know it happens everywhere but she didn't even bat an eyelid and it wasn't a small fly. I felt a bit bad about giving them away but what you don't know doesn't trouble you lol.

I wouldn't have eaten them either. Depending on the day (some days I'm brave) I would have said "actually you're grand " and walked away.

But yeah, ignorance is bliss :D

Each to their own but I wouldn't recommend Martyrs. I watched it a few years back. I don't really like watching things that are too grim anymore but if you don't mind watching someone getting tortured then work away :D

I still can't believe I bought them, it's been bugging since, if anyone else told me they bought them I'd be the first to tell them they're mad and that I'd have told her to keep them , very annoyed with myself.

I know of it alright Beach. I wouldn't be able to watch anything like it. I can read all about horrors inflicted on others but I can't tolerate the visual. The mind that makes those types of films interests me. Are they trying to explore depths within themselves or push boundaries of taboos. Give me ghosts and spooky all day long but gore and torture no thanks.

Well the boys in the family got to feel loved :D

Hopefully fly eggs are full of protein. ☺️

Another thing I spotted during the week..I was walking through a carpark and spotted a very old man walking along, I noticed him because he was very stooped over and frail and I thought fair play to him for being out and about, he went over to a new Audi and was trying to open the door (in my head I was saying fair play to you, gorgeous car), but it seemed he couldn't open the door, he then moved on to the next car (a Captur) and he opened the door of that and got in, both black cars in fairness, I had to laugh tbh ( not laughing at him at all just the situation, l always forget where I parked), it just struck me that he would have carried on along the line until a door opened.

Also a woman bought a takeaway tea in front of me today , she took it over to a table ( no seats obviously) and put a least 10 sachets of sugar into it, then glanced around but couldn't see the spoons so she took a biro out of her bag and stirred it lol.
I'm still couchside btw and yes I know I'm easily amused lol.

It's broadly similar to a deep fryer except that it uses hot air instead of oil to cook the food. I have one myself, they're pretty handy devices.

And yep, I see the face as well  ;)

Bought a lidl one a couple of months ago and it's just fantastic. I even made cupcakes in it and they were so light and fluffy. It cuts down on fat, time, electricity and mess and there are so many things ypu can cook in it. A thumbs up from me.
