Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How is it 66.6% from PV when you exported almost half of what you produced?

Edit: nvm thought it is self use rate.

4.1kwp mainly south facing, didn't check my monthly generation, but the last few days I have been generating 24kWh. I haven't bought any electricity from the grid in the last few days either (20kWh power wall) and I've stuck about 10kWh into my car on each day too.

Giv Energy - why keep changing display setup..?
Does anyone know which is the figure for generation ? Why make things so complicated..

    I think it’s the 547.50kwh-
5.2 system - east west split

I'd say it's Solar Consumed + Solar Exported.

See how that measures against other similar located or orientated systems on the thread.

To put that into perspective: a return transatlantic flight for one person from Dublin to New York is 1400kg, so roughly what a large solar install in Ireland produces in one year.

It's interesting the difference a few hundred kms make, I am near the Old head of Kinsale, Cork and I also produced 224 kWh but my system is 2.08 kW.
I am south facing though so maybe that made the difference!

Hmm, my first full month with a solar setup and seems like I'm not getting near the numbers posted here.

    12 x 340w panels - 4.1kw
    Solis Hybrid inverter
    4.8kw battery
    E/W split

    July production: 220kw.

    Would anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks :)

Looking forward to posting monthly figures, just got my system up and running yesterday.

My brains are fried figuring out the monitoring and making some adjustments via the installer, but hopefully I'll have it sorted by the end of August.

Generated 13kWh between 3pm and close of play yesterday despite it being a miserable Donegal day so I'm optimistic.

The weather in June was pants compared to May. Our 3.1kWp system generated 532kW in May but only 330-360kW in April, June and July. We passed the 2MWh milestone yesterday, a little over six months after install.

220 does seem very low though.

This is exactly the reason why I started this thread - to spot when things just don't seem right.

Are those East and West panels on separate strings ? If not, then that is your problem. Look on YouTube for videos about Tigo Optimisers, and you'll see what happens when one lot of panels is in sunshine while another set are shaded.

If you can look at your systems data, it possibly shows high production at solar noon (around 13:30), then sun will hit both sets of panels. The steeper the roof, the quicker shorter the time before one side is then shaded.

Well a long way from having substantial statistics, but I can say that since I left home at 8am until I came home at 6pm, the day reading on my meter hasn't budged.

In fairness I did have a few hours of a planned outage this morning but it's been on again since 12.
