I presume the 10 years are 2006-2016 as minors are not eligible to play senior so this year couldnt count.

Of the players that did play senior - how many did Fitzmaurice give debut to?

How many made their debuts under the managers in the 5 years prior to Fitzmaurice's tenure?

Mention to Paul Murphy that didn't play minor and is now one of the first names on the teamsheet.

A lot of excitement on the internet with the news about David Clifford staying.

It might temper the enthusiasm if people read the full story with says he is only staying for 2018, so he could still head off in 2019...

    Disagree with that part

Very easily or not so easily ??

What also might temper enthusiasm is the fact that the guy is just out of minor.

People are talking about him being the saviour.
I know there is a problem with Fitzmaurice not bringing in enough young players but don't expect this guy to be the finished article just yet either.

I think they’ll win but they can be very flakey so I wouldn’t bet on it with any great confidence

Next year you have scenario of picking young players for U20 or senior football you can't play both. A bit of dilemma for Fitzmaurice and Jack O Connor

League such a strange competition. Went from near relegation to making final in last 10 mins of final round last year.

Three home games only so need to pick up wins there to stay in division. Hope to see a pile of players getting a run to shake up starting 15.

Brolly fairly went after colm cooper in the independent today. He definitely holds a massive grudge against those "handy" all Irelands cooper won in the last decade against mayo and cork. Not the first time he's gone after coopers achievements in the last few months. Brolly definitely doesn't look good in all of this.

I cant wait to hear Brolly's satirical take on Philly McMahon's book- it will be as classless I'm sure

But he won all Ireland's against Kerry and mayo so he won't be going after his achievements!

So the same teams in the same sides as last year.

How many years in a row is this Kerry playing Clare now.

Maybe for the first 2 weeks in the league. After that I wouldn't be surprised to see the same old faces.

    New jersey launched today

Very nice, love the classic three stripes on the shoulder. Always thought there were too many similar green and yellow tops but that is very distinctive the white stripes on the green shoulder

I'd say many will follow the lead.

Who's voice is that on the first video.

Does anyone know if there is going to
be a Hurling wall included in the new Currans GAA Centre of Excellence?

It was on the original plans but have heard nothing since.

It woukd be good for the development of young kids outside of the Hurling stronghold in North Kerry.

Neutral venue I'd imagine, so Mallow or Limerick, on Sunday 26th. Should be a good game but think Crokes have marginally better firepower.

An Gaeltacht had a good win in Munster Intermediate today aswell and I fancy them to be very close to winning the All Ireland there at least.

At the Crokes game/coming out of the game I heard Fitzgerald Stadium, Mallow and PuC all being mentioned as the confirmed venue, so wait and see. It's been a few years since there was a Munster club final in Kerry, so Kerry might be due one.

In terms of firepower Crokes scored 2-19 with 2-13 from play and yet on the day were wasteful enough by their standards especially when it came to goal chances - they had at least 4 very good goal chances, although one of those four chances was a very good save by the KiB keeper, the other 3 goal chances were pretty much all a foot wide. They missed a couple of kickable points as well. There was one stage in the first half where Crokes had 5/6 missed chances in a row between goal chances and point attempts, very unCrokes like.

Serious hard to look past Crokes for Munster and you'd fancy them to give the All-Ireland a right rattle.

Crokes by 6 or 7 points I reckon.

Nemo aren't great, the standard of club football in Cork is poor at present.

I think a lot will depend in the condition of the pitch. PUR seems to cut up poorly enough in winter. Nemo more physical than Crokes, but Crokes will still win by 3-4 points I reckon.

Jeez I would in no way agree with that- Crokes are well able to mix it physically.

I think they will beat Nemo by 6

Good luck to Bryan Sheehan on his retirement from Intercounty Football.

A great servant and managed to reinvent himself late in career as a midfielder, but the game has moved on.

Kicked some special scores over the years. The score to seal the League Final this year was a great score.

Again this helps Fitzmaurice as he now has to fill that spot on the bench that had been Sheehan's with someone new.

Legion awarded the east Kerry semi final over crokes after they refused to play the fixture at the weekend.

I'm far from a crokes fan but you'd think the local board would help them and postpone the fixture when they have a massive munster club match this weekend

Legion now in the final without playing a single game. Other two games were walkover too.

Sad state of affairs for a historically enjoyable competition

Pairc ui Rinn is supposed to be in poor condition for the weekend, lot of rain due to fall also. Would still fancy Crokes by a few points.

You wonder what hurry the East Kerry Board are in - also Crokes v Legion would have very likely been a ding-dong game, had been looking forward to going along to that at the weekend. I was talking to someone who was at the Gneeveguilla Rathmore semi-final game and he said that Rathmore were missing about 6 starters in that game ( Paul Murphy was and will be in Oz/Far East for a few weeks yet and they had a number of players on the injured list) so I'd be sure Rathmore are in no rush to play the final.
