Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Currently commercial, but send away an rf111 and start taxing it privately as a 1.5, could be a useful old thing to own. Worrying bit of rust on the nearside back quarter just above the sill cover though.

Ad says hasn't been used in this country in last 3 months hence why tax is out, nothing about not being driven.

Unless seller is watching this thread and updated based on your comment.

They honestly dont care. As long as you are licenced, and the car is insured. In 15 years driving up and down Europe that's all I've ever been asked for. Not even an NCT.

Pedants be like "it must be legal in country of registration!", yeah, but in practice: no.

I suppose you need all your disks to get to to the ferry in Ireland.
Is your insurance valid abroad without tax and NCT?

You are meant to have the vehicle road legal in your state even if the car isn't.

Insurance will have many a clause

Big Auto Estate with Fresh NCT and very genuine looking ad. Low mileage for the age and seems to have full service history.

A 2.0 HDi is bulletproof. Unlike the 1.6. I sold one in a 00 Xantia with 230k mile's but it was good for 400k. If you're buying off a Citroen enthusiast, you'll be grand. Depends on the owner.
Suspension, if it's fully Hydractive should be ultra reliable. Regular topping up of fluid, occasional flush, changing spheres once in a blue moon was all any of my (Three) Xantias needed over 600k miles between them.

The auto box, I couldn't say.

As usual, a secondhand Citroen is always a bargain.

Just be aware that Kate is a bloke. I contacted her before about an auto mondeo she had up. A lad answered. As it happens I also enquired about another auto listed as being in Dublin with a different girls name. Turned out to be the same bloke. Same phone number too.

That fella/girl pops up here regularly and seem to sell with Dublin listings, Mullingar listings, and most recently Longford listings.

No idea what they are like as a seller, but their adverts are all the same.
Blurry pics that look like they were taken with a potato and then a few shots of 3 or 4 pics stitched together, just to cram in as many photos as possible!

No idea why a seller would use different names every time, and different locations, but well worth letting people know in advance anyway

Ah ok! So at least there IS an actual female involved :D
They must have been living close to me and moved to Longford recently, as most of the listings over the last few months seem to be Dublin & Longford

I think he/she/they just advertises the cars in Dublin to draw more traffic to the ads. If you ring up he’ll give loads of different excuses for not being in Dublin and try to convince you to drive to Mullingar/Longford or wherever because it’s “only forty minutes down the road” etc

Tidy looking 2011 Octavia elegance, NCT til May 2021, €2000

I'm guessing it is/was a PSV but it looks decent, ad reads genuine.

Diseal and the steering wheel upside down, sorry but no, just no. If you can't spell diesel just write TDI and for fook sake make the effort to straighten the bloody steering wheel, does my bloody head in!!!!

Nicely spec'd Laguna 3 with low(ish) miles, short test til January, €1950

I normally wouldn't post one of these with short test, but this could be a nice buy. Cool plate, 2.0, nice spec etc
