You're looking at Cavan cows? Bejaysus!
Only know one milker in Ballyconnell, there's a good few of them though.

20 degrees and sunny all morning here in Cavan town, the hum of round balers echoing around the countryside.
Then quick change to lightning and ten minutes torrential rain, drops the size of pennies.

Saw a woman with a child in a buggy out in the lashings of rain in cavan town and the child roaring

Really heavy rain at milking time this morning. Cows wouldn't come into the parlour. Was warm too. Lovely evening now. Plenty of flies this evening

Windy and pelting rain . Put 25 acres of grass in pit Thursday night. Whole pit had to be stripped. Friday we got 3 covers on with great difficulty due to wind. Got last one on myself yesterday but hadnt got all the tyres up. Last cover is in trouble now.

    Something's wrong!!

It's not raining and the Sun is shining??

Pathetic attempt at a monsoon season.

There'll be another one Monday by the looks of it. The heifers have been to a sacrifice paddock already, another week of this and they'll be in and cover of 1100 on the farm....

Yeah, same here. Growth still outstripping demand and I might need to take out more bales, maybe 8 or 10 acres but that land is gone till spring then?

Going into covers of 1800+ atm, old pasture so not getting the clean out I'd like.

Land still holding up well here but a small bit of marking starting

Ground is rock hard here in east Wicklow still
Less than 1mm in the last 24hrs for example
I'd expect we'll get a good sup late Saturday night into Sunday
Grass growth with last weeks rain is exploding here,it was already ok but was starting to struggle

I broke a stake here just now driving it with the loader. First few inches soft enough but then met the dry ground and broke.
