Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    And under 100 it goes.

GME now being defended from the trenches. Wasn't allowed to dip below $100.

    $100 broken now. $94

Happy to admit if/when i'm wrong on some calls. this one is still ongoing.

edit -not suggesting Prunty is hoping others lose.

I'm not hoping anyone loses money. I was asking the question of the previous poster. There have been a few tense exchanges in this sub, some regulars with their backs up because Johnny come latelies - like myself - have ventured in for some insight. I'd hope someone isn't kicking people when they're down out of spite and an 'I told you so' attitude that is shameful.

Everyone in this thread posted in here for the first time at some stage whether it was this week, two months ago or the day it was started. Bad form insulting people and scaring them off because of what? A lack of knowledge.

I cashed out at opening today - after all that broke even - greed was my downfall on this one but lucky to come away even.

Also my predictions are crap for sure.

I'm sure this is scant consolation for you investors but you were on the right side of history here. Regardless of any 'well if you look at it in its entirety' etc. analyses, what was exposed here - in such a plain and obvious way which never really came across for the average person with the complicated derivatives of 2008 imo - was astounding. And this may not even be over surely.

That it will probably end up with the American taxpayer/worker actually paying for this level of naked greed backed by such obvious corruption only compounds the effect. That Americans seem to put up with such brutal treatment in almost all aspects of their civic lives with little actual revolt outside burning down their own neighbourhoods occasionally, well that's an issue they'll have to fix themselves imo.

But from someone watching this from the sidelines it was (is?) amazing. Terrifying if you still hold out any faith for 'liberal democracy' but there's so many nails being hammered into that coffin these days all that's left is splinters - any dragging out of this into the light is genuinely appreciated by me. Seismic moment and we all know who was cheated. Beginning not an end hopefully.

Silver was up on speculation so allow HF to cover for the GME shorts - allegedly.
they done this for CRH after the fininacial crash, price was up and down by a euro a day(i was surfing those waves for a month) -1k a day profit ent bad(buy 1k at €18 and sell at €19)... all we can do is ride the waves if we can catch em...but holding for the long term is always best though.

$60 provides support for GME , if it doesnt hold , could drop to low thirties today

bought 6 there @$78 there for the craic , thankfully made a grand last week so can afford to mess around , sold BBBY earlier for a $250 loss

hmm I dunno, its my biggest hold after NIO so props up the daily NIO loses this week and then some. The upside from here could be huge, no $10 spac has gone near this far without a target so the upside could be $60-100. Some of it might still depend on this wsb thing. If you were lucid you would wait until it dies down so maybe Monday or longer.

Do I wish I still bought more at $18-20 range yes
Would I buy at $28-30 no (only because the small chance it doesn't get done.)

I cant see why anyone would sell this low. Most retail investors hopped on after th 200$/300$ marks so why would they be selling at huge losses.

Shorts can cover at this price so no hope of it getting back to those levels, it's over

Good fightback from AMC, dropped to $6.13 and back now to $7

exactly they can cover at this price and then if they suddenly rush in to do so that could well spike it again.

It depends on how many are already covered though which there are many different theories on

I sold 20% of my $AMC last week at $16. Covered my initial investment/gamble.
Still holding the remaining 80% which is free money now no matter what I sell for. Though should have sold at 15s last week. Got greedy :o

    Right folks, not good.

Glad I only bought 1.5 GME @230 so no horrible losses. The question is now should I just keep holding, or cut my losses? Decisions.

Thanks, thats good advise, FOMO never served me well, i should have gotten in earlier instead of watching it get here, there will always be another stock to get in on, will sit this one out for now.

you've already lost the bulk of what you are going to, like at this stage do you care if you go from -150 to -200

Also AMC up16% rumor it's next inline for the wall Street bets treatment so will open a small position.

Complete gamble looking at fundamentals however for 2021 fundamentals seem to have been replaced by retail investors deciding to not let a "Great American institution" die.
Bought 700 shares when I wrote this on the 25th at 4.64 sold 100 at 16 and the remaining 600 today at 8 overall gain of 3.2k so I think I played it well .

My gain could have been about 10k but that's the game.

Once I seen Dave Portnoy sell out who was a big cheerleader I knew the game was up. Will have a look at price closer to closing bell hoping for a bounce tomorrow

Not really. If there will still be entertainment in it for the rest of the week I'd be inclined to hold... but if all the drama is done now then what's the point?

GME was my first ever stock and it has been fun overall. Like another poster said (sorry I can't remember your name) I have barely thought about Covid at all.

I have also learned some valuable lessons, both in terms of what not to do, and also learning a lot about terminology, markets, stock etc. Stuff I had no clue about a week ago.

Perhaps this is the foundation for what will hopefully be some much more responsible (and profitable) investing (rather than hype based gambling) in future. Delighted though that I was strict with myself in terms of what I put in and kept any losses meaningless in monetary terms.

They could gave also doubled up other shorts at the high share price. Either way they're winning on a drop in share price.
They may have even traded on the up side too.

    The Reddit thread is insane.

I feel a little bit sorry for that guy who went from 50k-40m+. He's still up millions but I feel like he's surely been influenced even the slightest bit by Reddit pressing home the hold narrative.

Still hadn't touched his position from early last week at close of business last night. He's cashed out enough so he or his kids will never need to work again but he's still got a heavy position to contend with.
