All good quality products and especially the sage fly fishing rods.
You could trash the Sh1t out of them, I do have a gentle cast but I've caught plenty of tree's.

You should have availed of their lifetime warranty on the first one.

I've found them a great company to deal with, accidentally broke one of their rods when closing the boot of a car one time. Contacted them and was told to cut the damaged section into 6 inch pieces so it was cheaper to post and enclose a note with my return address.

One week later I had the replacement at no charge and I am still covered for my lifetime with the same rod.

I forgot to mention Vortex as well, they sell rifle scopes, binoculars etc. Top quality stuff. I bought a secondhand Vortex rifles scope from a private seller in the UK. It worked perfectly until I had an accident while out hunting and damaged it, completely my own fault.

Contacted Vortex and told them my predicament, same service, returned broken item and it was replaced with a brand new (actually updated newer) model to what I had bought secondhand.

Their lifetime warranty is not only unconditional but follows the item for life, no receipt or proof of purchase required.

My experience is more in kitchen appliances (and vehicle consumables come to think of it - batteries, blades, bulbs and wipers) than power tools.

I've had a Bosch green corded drill fatally unwind its keyless chuck and the replacement part wasn't worth the cost compared to Lidl's special that week; but at least I could actually replace it if I wanted to. I've a Bosch green heat gun currently; the rest of my power tools are a mix of Lidl specials and whatever was oddly cheap at the time elsewhere; e.g. a Black & Decker saw that uses Bosch-type blades, a no-brander belt sander and an actual Dremel.

Lego prices generally go up a little every year; but they have not kept pace with inflation in Ireland and absolutely have not kept pace with purchasing power parity here.

A few years ago I did a comparison with the harbour set I got as a Christmas present in 1994 or something - cost £40 in Smyths. €50. The equivalent set in terms of contents, element count and so on at the time cost under €70.

£40 in 1990 was quite a bit of money. Could go on the pints for a week for that more or less. €70 in 2014 or whenever I did that comparison really wasn't the same.

Vans. Their shoes last years.

Winmau dartboards.......if you can get one! They are sold out everywhere recently.

Have an old drill and jigsaw that still work fine after 30+ years.

My mum has a fridge made by Ford that is 38 years old and still going strong.

+1 on Miele, I used to include Bosch but I've had some poor appliances in recent years.

My Toyota avensis went for years and over 200k miles and we badly treated.

They sell off the brand name for some budget crap now though - B&D of 30 years ago is not them now.

That said, my Turkish rebadge "Black and Decker" steam mop does is job fine; but it sure as hell isn't what the brand was meant to be,

On my second phone also have a Huawei tablet. Great products for a lovely price.
