Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

And also isn't there a huge backlog regarding testing? When are we all going to be tested and when are we going to enter this new world where travel will be determined by immunity?

    Sake like.

    That's what I thought.
Took a few days for me to get a test recently.

Your post implied we would be tested. There's so much rumour going around regarding this crisis. The HSE have said there is a backlog.

Yes, the email I got implied it might happen. But I'm confused too. Maybe it was just the way the email was worded. "Over the next weeks it is likely that more people will be asked to be tested". Uploaded to Imgur: Test https://imgur.com/gallery/QqeiFkH

Thanks Olddog :) yes and no, we won’t be going back to classes on campus but we’ve been getting our classes online and all exams have been replaced with assignments or online tests. It’s weird, if I’d known my last week of classes was going to be my last ever I’d have enjoyed it more

I think we should wait until we hear from official sources before sharing anything like that. The same as saying passports may hold biological information.

I'm happy with the source as they're part of the HSE.
Just mentioned a confusing email I received, I too will wait and see. It only mentions the possibility.

It's probably best not to speculate on covid testing emails....if it's not clear to you... then you can imagine the panic you might cause in others....

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

It doesn't seem to be anything to panic about, though?
Unless people are afraid it will hurt?
If it's any help, it doesn't.

The point I was trying to make was that I think its irresponsible to share information that hasn't been made official and announced by the powers that be. That's all.

I've now given up on my runs G, I was getting too annoyed at all of the people milling about still. I even tried waiting until after dusk but that started to feel like I was in a weird world inhabited entirely by teenagers either on bikes in gangs or skulking around eating the faces off each other on street corners away from their parents prying eyes. :D They really do exist on a different plant (or should) :p

    Burgers for dinner here, yippee...

Haven't went too far on a walk up to now as we are all using the threadmill. Fancied some actual 2kms worth of fresh air. Fcuk me I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The place is empty in general, but then that makes it easier to see the people having brain farts. One of the kids I saw mixing with another two households (an 11 year old) her father is a secondary school principal, so I won't be putting this down to a particular class. Sometimes I think what is the fcuking point, if dimwits do dimwith things.

Have graham northons rose and a bottle of that aldi Marlborough wine for tonight. Also got a double ipa to try last night, wouldn’t be a beer drinker usually but it was described as being well balanced and substantially bitter. It was basically me in a bottle.

I've gotta buy more steak. Only one left in the freezer. Supervalu's two pack of sirloin for less than 6 quid is great value. May not catch the virus, but may get ghout from all the red meat I'm hammering into lately.:D

Oh ffs...friend showed me a post in a group...this woman ranting that c19 comes from bats so they should "just kill all the bats".

Better than blaming 5G..... you have to wonder about people. I saw some women leaving leaving a church in America claiming she won’t get it because “she’s covered in the blood of Jesus”.... BANANAS! The Bible Belt in America is gonna be wiped out.

It's mad how those culty men (and women?) suck people in so easily. I think sometimes just expressing strong convictions is magnetic to some people.

Going to have a go at alcohol ink painting.
    I've had an idea.
Going mad with the isolation tbh but sure you'd hardly know the difference :)

Speaking of alcohol, I feel like a glass of wine is long overdue, and my local wine shop is offering free delivery. I think I'll buy a present of my favourite tempranillo tomorrow. Just hope it won't make me miss company.

Also had a genius thought, alcohol ink for hand washing! I'm deeply doubtful about many people washing hands correctly, this is perfect! Widders I totally want this to really happen :o

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

    Rainbow hands :D
I did smarm myself in some purple and had to shower. Its very spread-y. Whatever the word is.
I just did a watercolourish swirly pattern and I'm going to overlay it with white card, with a pattern cut out with a Stanley knife, so the swirly colours show through the cut outs. Not as psychedlic as it sounds. It's shades of blue and green, quite muted.

You are in danger of getting TLA-itis

I’m so enjoying my working life for as long as it exists, today we blasted off from a coastal airport with one passenger, climbed to 45,000 feet, ATC cleared us directly to our destination 2 hours away, we literally didn’t hear one other aircraft and when we asked to change course to avoided thunderstorms we were told to do as we liked. Next controller told us cleared to the end of the runway and cleared to approach. Tower controller told us hello cleared to land, then after landing, cleared to taxi for miles and park, good night.

Funniest part is that as I avoided thunderstorms i had my Apple Watch check my heart beat, it was around 79-80 beats, last night when i climbed onto the roof of this hotel it was 120 :)

That's the Paddy's Day wig from last year....she had a shower...dug it out...and has been wearing it for about 5 hours now...she going to bed now so I'm hoping it's coming off :D

Sleep is never my friend on a good day.... but I'm really out of whack since this all started a few weeks ago
