Is this the wholesalers in Smithfield or the fruit/veg stalls that sell to the public?

And do you specifically get juicing oranges?

They will all sell to you, but Condrens I find is the best. Yes, ask for juicing oranges. they are smaller and much better value juice wise. Condrens is actually outside the market, you cant really miss it.

They also have incredible ranges of berries, mushrooms (at least 8 varieties - particularly in autumn) and fresh herbs. The produce is absolutely spanking fresh, we find we got much longer shelf life on certain goods from there. Check it out!

Aldi wins this week, but if you combine both offers you can get a lot of fruits and vegs for a very little money.

That one red pepper at Tesco looks a bit sad, unless it weighs 500g;)

It's their new steak range priced at €8 usually so expecting it to be decent. Sirloin I think.

    Striploin and Rib Eye only.

    Great value.

If so then that's a continuation of the last steak super 6 as they also had Striploin and Rib Eye in that one that finished yesterday - they were at €3.00 each

Good Aldi SS this fortnight too! Thanks.

Does anybody know what day Dunnes changes their fruit/veg offers. I got melons, nectarines and plums on Monday and wanted to get more but not sure if that offer is over now.

    Thanks.

Was going to get a few at €3 each till I realised that they were only 202g each which is a bit small for my liking. I'm hoping the €4 rib eyes are at least 250g or more, if so I'll be stocking up :D My local butcher is €24 a kilo for Rib eye so €6 for a 250g steak which is pricey. They are delicious though, I have to give him that.

No, it is completely different product. Dry aged beef for that price is a steal.

Says in the local paper that the Dunnes fruit and veg offers are until the 5th, better stock up on the lovely nectarines before tomorrow :)

Tried one of the Striploins last night and thought it was very nice. Certainly a fine purchase at €4, wouldn't be paying €8 for it mind you.

Rib eye would benefit more from dry ageing, try it and you won't be disappointed.

I agree that 8 EUR is a steep price.

The steak is popular anyway, both types sold out in my local aldi at lunchtime today.

The Rib Eye was fairly tasty in fairness.Hard to get a steak that tastes of anything.
