Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They're ok - I can take them or leave them tbh.

    What about Snickers bars?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,276 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

    Love them.
    The ice cream version especially.

Have you ever been in a tree house?

Yeah! Had loads of fun in them. Something great about being high up in a tree!!

Full fat or low fat milk? (or other... do share!)

Full fat, otherwise known as proper milk :)

    How's your cholesterol?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Full fat for me too. Or raw milk if I could obtain it locally.
    Very nutritious.

    Cholesterol is normal.

    Have you ever fainted?

Do you get nosebleeds with them?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Fainted twice, near fainted many times but I used to be weak as a brush. I don't faint or anything close to it anymore.

I think I've had about 4 migraines. No nosebleeds.

Do you still have your tonsils?

They are a blight in my life. There's one coming on now.

    Do you get them?

No nosebleeds thankfully, but can really affect my vision badly and can vomit and faint. Still have my tonsils.

Still have my tonsils, they are huge, biggest my doctor has ever seen.
My migraines are ocular ones, can usually hold them off with medication.

Does the term cocooning bug you?

    Not really. Kinda cute actually.
    Ever pierce your ear yourself?

Yea, cocooning sounds condescending in my opinion.

How much time did you spend outdoors today?

I dont mind "cocooning" much but it does seem a bit patronising, like swaddling a baby.

Never poked any holes in myself, I paid someone to do it for me a few times.

    Most of the day.

Do you have a natural tan?

Been outdoors from 1-9 give or take an hour or two

What's the chance of getting Covid 19 if you are walking down the street and happen to be less than 2 metres from a passerby for 2 seconds?

I ask this as people keep jumping out of the way when they see me and it's bordering on annoying

    Do.you read medical advice

  • Registered Users Posts: 497 ✭✭antgal23

I spend a lot time outdoors so I had to buy moisturizer with SPF, I know nada about creams but they say you should have one on all year round

    Depends on the medical advice

Some ancient civilizations used drugs during their rituals to help them get closer to whatever it was they were worshipping.

If there is some truth to that would it encourage you toy to question the role of modern day religions?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,328 ✭✭✭Upforthematch

Yeah I try to take that medical stuff on board

Edit: So if some ancient religious used drugs, does that mean that the present day ones are lacking without drugs? Erah, probably not tbh. But some people might need drugs to sit all the way through a service :D.

If you have siblings what you describe each other as.... the funny one, the sporty one etc...

I think the whole point of taking a drug was to reach a higher state of consciousness and therefore closer to the above, modern religions dont do that

Anyway, I'm the eldest so my siblings would have that bias when describing me

Not so much in my neighborhood but I do notice a lot more cars on the M50 than a few weeks ago.

Do you leave the house every day or give the outside world a miss on some days?

I have a dog to walk so I'm out round the block with her every day. Other than that a longer walk some evenings. Supermarkets as little as possible.

Has all this made you decide to make some changes when things eventually go back to some kind of normality

What's the most exotic place you've ever visited?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,104 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

I have been lucky to visit lots of strange places. A town in China where they built nuclear submarines was the strangest but the nicest was Fiji. It's really nice there.

What fruit do you most commonly consume?
(Fermented grapes is not an acceptable answer)

No. One of my uncles was always going on quiz shows. He was on Where in the World, 15 to 1 etc. We didnt really know him well so it would be a surprise when youd see him. I think he won a car on something. Hes a snake anyway.

I don't really do arguments. It has to be worth it and most people only want to silence 'the opposition' (you). I say what I absolutely have to, and cut whoever they are dead, never to be revisited.

What was the context of your last argument?
