    I do indeed

    Are you working today?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,050 ✭✭✭Ruby Ring

No (it'd be pretty poor work if I was, with all the chatting here)
Have to head off now though to get the papers for my neighbours. Thanks of all the laughs!

Have you another joke before I go?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 80,004 Mod ✭✭✭✭Sephiroth_dude

    I do

What did the left eye say to the right eye?

    Between us, something smells!

    How was that?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,050 ✭✭✭Ruby Ring

    Ha Ha! Thanks!

Will you round up some more hikers while I'm gone? (I'll be making the sandwiches)

    What's that now? I can't climb.

    Had you forgotten that?

    He must have.

We'll wait in the car and listen to the radio and have a little picnic while we wait for the lovebirds to finish their hike! ;) Then we'll all go to the pub.

    Sound like a plan?

No! I wouldn't want them to have a wasted journey!

I hope they will be suitably minimally attired?

13 years ago. I also had synged eyebrows when I woke up to go with my hangover, and an exam to sit.

    You?

He was lovely. That's my question.

He is indeed, he owns the bait shop and still says catch phrases such as "A flaming galah" and "stone the flaming crows"

    Ever been to Aus?

    Yeah

    Would you go again

Absolutely loved it there, especially new South Wales, like another world

    Would you go again?

Most likely will.id say....id ive no job after.this shutdown....might even cycle.there (as much as is feasible)

    Do you like.the heat

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

I do, but not searing heat. Cornwall, Brittany (I imagine, having never been beyond Paris) kind of sunshine suits me...not sure how I'd get on with Australian heat. Maybe if it's dry rather than humid I'd like it.

If you could go for this weekend skiing in the Alps or spend this weekend on a tropical beach which would you prefer?

Would you prefer to stay in.a tent or a b and b

It would depend on my mood and where I could pitch the tent.Im never sleeping on the ground again. Probably tent with a very good airbed (very good airbeds do exist).

    Same question?

B&B - getting a fry served to you on a plate, yes please!

Have you ever met someone that totally convinced you to change your mind about something?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Yes, my mind has changed many times over on serious and controversial questions, since 2017, and other people were the catalysts...it's very annoying when you hold strong moral convictions by nature, surely if they had a value they'd be unshakeable...but ultimately it means you've grown..

Have you changed much as a person?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,012 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

Yes, I think when I hit 30, I became a totally different woman. More confident and accepting of myself.
I'm going to be 40 soon, I think I might go full blown mid life madness.

Ever see an animal giving birth?

To thine own self be true

    Yup. A cat

Ever seen a human giving birth (excluding yourself)?

Witnessed one on television when the battery failed and couldn't change the channel. I moved to Tibet immediately after and started moving dirt in an artful manner around a rocky outcrop.

    Can you eat planets?

I probably could if I ingested the right aperitif.

    Mars or Jupiter?

Of those belonging to Holst, Jupiter offers more intrigue. John Williams has borrowed too many motifs from Mars for his movie scores, and that has sullied my listening experience.

Did you ever ride the third rail?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,497 ✭✭✭auspicious

    No.

Would I be here to recount the story?
edit- meant in nicest possible way, if I think I know what you mean. by 3rd rail.

Sea Hawk (I'll admit I had to research that one!)

What black and white films would you recommend?
