Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was travelling through Tipperary on my way to Kilkenny and passed a place called Clogheen which made me think i was in a time warp.

    Likewise Ballineen, Co. Cork

Closer to my homeplace, Strabane never fails to make my eyes bleed. :P

Passed through some town in Co. Galway last year and it was just miserable. Not a single redeeming quality that I remember.

It's impossible to choose. Pretty much every town in the midlands looks identical. And everyone looks a bit like Brian Cowen. Even the women.

Rosegreen Co Tipp, it is a mighty kip, and Robertstown, Co Kildare, jasus lads, it's rough. Thurles is no tidy town either.

Longford is the most abysmal dreary ****hole I've ever had the misfortune of being in.

Others in the same category are Manorhamilton, Buncrana and knock.

there are alot of depressing looking towns in this area be it ballyhaunis, ballaghaderreen, boyle, castlerea but at least most have some redeeming feature be it lough key forest park or the demesne in castlerea but dunmore in county galway hasn't even that.

Ballinasloe is a long town of misery. Toothless idiots huddled in pub doors smoking cigarettes; overweight teenage mothers shoving buggies around, and the association the town has with its mental hospital. "He's down in Ballinasloe as he's suffering with his nerves".
