Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone ever win by betting on 'big players' in-game when they slip back a bit? These guys' odds are about twice as long as when I backed them, and they're only 5/6 shots behind...

I tend to go with lesser well known golfers myself as you tend to get big prices on them or good value rather

I do think the prices on thomas and koepka at around 22s+28s aren't bad, even the 60s on spieth who's one player that could do something special
on the other hand I'd have no interest in rory at 25s, wouldn't trust him to put three good rounds together

But may be forgetting the fact that there is no longer 10pl available, just circa 6pl now.

Momentum is a big factor, there is a slight psychological advantage to having a stream of sequential birdies over bogeys. But that factor level depends on the mental dynamics of each individual.

No-one cares about the PGA? I suppose when it's not on telly...

It's working fine on my Golf Channel on skylink on 23.5e

Other channels than Sky are available :D

I'm on Rory, Justin Thomas and Olesen outright, Tiger top American. Was going to do Rory and Justin anyway, but I had to add Tiger when I saw the three of them in a group, even though I wouldn't be surprised if he missed the cut...

Well none of them missed it, which is probably a first for me golf betting:rolleyes:

 I'm launching a birther movement against Koepka. I mean what sort of an American name is that...

This or the other Mega one https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056948763&page=66

Hard to see past usa-usa-usa @3.5 for this, but not massive value.
    Best outright is 1.95.

Might tag a more ambitious, but popular 17-11@15 (lads) on the end of an acca. Alt: 16.5-11.5 @16 (sky), or B365 is best for 17.5-10.5 @34.

As mentioned on the other thread, Fleetwood for top Euro.

You are getting close, one for me this week Scott Stallings who played so well last week has course form so i have a tenner ew at 60/1 PP 8 places in the Genesis.

I was in Powers earlier and backed Bubba at 18s 8 places because of his good record on the course,a bit bigger in other shops but 8 places and money back if 2nd 3rd or 4th seemed a bit of value.

I also backed Bubba at evens to finish in the top 20.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,586 ✭✭✭4068ac1elhodqr

Had Bubba yesterday @26 1stRL 6pl, he's one of the most popular bets for outright.

Always prefer the wildcards for the 1stRL, and the main 8pl outright
Kang, VarnerIII, Oritz etc, all up in the 3-figures.
All on small stakes, high-yield, mixed, e/w accas.

Went close last week using course form - don't like the Oz event / format, so trying again this week, but little course form is Oz / Euro tour so going for the round belly Champions Tour for the second tournament again

A bit late posting as had to wait for a friend with a Bet365 account

    Gone for :

    Chubb Classic

    Joe Durant 30/1 & Scott McCarron 12/1

    Genesis Open

    Scott Stallings 90/1 & Cameron Smith 35/1

    E/w double as always

Scores reset even after a fair few were out due to heavy rain. Had small technical 8pl price advantage for couple on -1 ah well.

Let's hope the lad that smashed up a course the other week hasn't had too many double-expressos when he hears the news.

All on small stakes, high-yield, mixed, e/w accas.

45% circa accas cash out on Kang while he was leading R1 midway at the break. Oritz R1L will be on the cash out soon if he continues to -5, currently (-3) on 9. Varner on the other hand a burn-out.

JBHolmes@36 6pl or LoveIII@81 outrights, might get added to accas pending slightly enhanced live feed updates within next 20mins.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,586 ✭✭✭4068ac1elhodqr

    JBHolmes@36 6pl or LoveIII@81 outrights..

JB wraps up a win, bypassing the clear R3 leader (who was also about 100 places in the world rank above him). Never back a R3 leader at 2/1.

This week Mexico looks good, small (quality) field and 7pl.
Very recently both Tiger & Rory showed very good promise, and might do well for the 1sRL market.

Wildcard also at triple figures is Bjork & Ancer for 1stR.

(Live now) over in Peurto Rico and Rodriguez is a potentiial value wildcard, and off to a good start (-3 on 9).

Not yet bet this week, but selections are:

    Sergio Garcia 45/1 & Tommy Fleetwood 35/1 - Mexico

Rafael Campos 50/1 & Julian Etualin 75/1 - Puerto Rico Open

Rory sure is smashing the 1stRL market (was @19), and just 3.5 for the outright so all value gone now after last Eagle.

It's a small field, but also full of quality,
    Alts(ernatives) now include Garcia & Kuchar (both -3), 5pl outright @23-34.

Small mixed acca arrays on the way with a few (Ex {2 or more} Pl) picks from Chelt week, along with:
    - Fleetwood@29, 10places (one zero) in the Players.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,654 ✭✭✭DJIMI TRARORE

    DeChambeau @25
    Cantlay @33
    RC Bello @45
    Also Power 1st R L @175 (8 places)

PP paying 1-10 places pre start

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,586 ✭✭✭4068ac1elhodqr

Also have a bit on 1stRL Bryson DeChambeau @31, 8 places.
Like also S.Power for the 1stR, and too: Ryan Armour to get good early starts (but fade later) (both @175).
Anyone with extra-faith in Power, might see 1,000/1 8pl if looking Skyward.

7places in the Coral Cup tommorow means a couple of wild card arrays,
maybe a 'joke dancer' of a horse to prevail through the high winds.
5pl in the Close Brothers (tbc) the other e/w yankee/L15 type selection builder.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,750 ✭✭✭redzerdrog

Just had a good bet on Fleetwood at 3/1

Close for Fleetwood, even a late eagle on the 4thR didn't clinch it, in very tough competition. Rory has been at the self-improvement books, visionboards and so on, never underestimate the power of perspective.

Built a few small e/w mixed acca arrays for mar-april. Got some tastey prices in the Valspar e.g. Diaz just days ago at 1,000/1 but today is 250/1 along with Kraft//Cook and handful of others around these prices.

Also have eyes on a GrandNat horse in April to top off the 4 from 6 e/w accas.

One golf bet this week,Jorge Campillo 18/1 PP in the Maybank, has form here and is in good form so put a little extra on €25 ew 7 places.

Guess there is more variance with 1stRL, but in this case Campillo can get got (with same 7pl), but at @26.

Will add Zanotti@41, Bhullar@34, Sullivan@67 for 1stRL, again the same 7places, but better prices, than outright.

If the small but large mixed accumulating accas start to go to plan, will have to lay off the GNat horse as he's the only one featuring so far from the field of 80 potential runners in April. Brexit might not happen until 2525ad, so no issues with horses going over.
