Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why is it so much more expensive in Europe than the MENA region?

I paid less than 400 Euro for the same phone as above.

Anyway, so far so good. The AMOLED screen is so nice and I love the haptic feedback. I feel like a made a good choice

    Are theses legit?

Yep, have bought multiple flashed OnePlus's from eglobal. No hardware differences and work normally with OTA updates etc. Think warranty is the major difference as you'd have to deal with eglobal for support and not OnePlus. Never had an issue though, touch wood!

How would this phone compare to the Samsung S8 I have at the moment?

How does it compare to the S10. It's 650e in Argos at present.

    Main differences would be:

Camera - Samsung would still have advantage on this but a lot of new features in 7t like the macro mode and the stable video.

Screen - 90 ghz on the 7t compared to 60ghz, you'll notice the difference when scrolling and browsing

OS - Oneplus's Oxygen OS has less bloat and feels snappier than Samsung's, 7t has the latest Android 10 (Q) right outside the box - they also do regular software updates every month or 2.

    Chipset - Latest Snapdragon 855+ on 7t

Battery - bigger battery on the 7t (3800 mah)

a lot more just click on the link below

-- this is the more salient question and the answer is that it competes very favourably with the S10 and is certainly better in pretty much every department than 2 year old tech. Even the camera, which has been uninspiring on OnePlus phones in the past, is a very big step-forward on the 7T.

    Hey There

Ok just unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP and Magisk and on the most recent updates

On previous one plus phones I used Custom Roms but sticking with stock this time

So restored apps via Google drive and just have a few issues

Scrolling through the settings and apps some I dont want to appear there. Example I have 3 Titanium apps?? On regular one Titatnium Back up add on and one Titanium Back up Pro. Another example is Nova Launcher and Nova Settings.
How can I remove some of these apps?

Using Titanium I tried to remove the apps I dont need like Google Play movies, Netflix etc. Removed them but still showing?. However when I try to remove others eg Digital Wellbeing I get failed to locate the apk file?? Do I have to remove apps and install from scratch rather than have back ups from previous phone(OP5 on old rom)

Using Magisk and want to install You Tube Vanced. I have downloaded this and can see its installed but cannot see it on the list of apps?

Final one simple thing trying to get the settings for phone. I pull down the top screen and I can see that the phone is set on vibrate but how can I change settings to silent, ring etc.

Still trying to figure the above out if anyone can assist some maybe DAH questions I should know but just seeking assistance

    Cheers

One thing someone mentioned a while back in this thread but that I'm really seeing myself with the 7T - this phone is buggy as hell. Can't wait to see an update come through.

The only thing really annoying me about it so far is the automatic brightness, its absolutely awful

Yup, that's really annoying. Funnily enough, I never thought the automatic brightness worked properly on my old 3T.

Aren't you getting semi-regular 'weak GPS signal' messages along the bottom?

I've seen a bunch of little things - nothing I'd be shouting from the rooftops about - but things that I'd hope will be sorted by an update.

OnePlus seem to be offering a free pair of wireless bullets 2 with their phones at the moment.

    Nice little offer.

So Android 10 (Oxygen OS 10.3.0) is finally available over the air for my 6T.
I know this was quite buggy when initially rolled out. Is it safe to upgrade now or better off staying in Android 9?

I just updated earlier today and have no issues. Looks much the same as Android 9. Also there is a OnePlus 6 and 6+ thread.

Nope, unfortunately not. Nor is there a USB-C to 3.5mm socket like with 6.

I bought the OnePlus USB-C buds, and they seem fine, though.

Dunno, have never used them but have heard of a few lads over here buying from them before.

You'd flash the other ROM of course.

Sure crack on and set how it works out. What's the worst that can happen? Pay the vat and have to flash a new ROM?

I've a 6T so I've no interest in upgrading at the minute but I'd certainly chance it if I were in the hunt. Significant saving, buy on credit card for protection.

Not sure what happened but I'm not getting any notifications until I open the app.

Phone is rooted and using xxxNolimits and Smurf kernel. So I've just opened WhatsApp and messages there from yesterday.

Phone on vibrate but no notification in status bar until I open the app.

In settings and notifications its on for WhatsApp.

I optimised battery settings as per https://www.androidcentral.com/how-f...-life-problems

This caused it or is it something else and how can I change it

Hi guys, looking at getting a oneplus 7 or 7t, have had the oneplus 3since late 2016.

Bought direct last time, but obviously they are getting pricier now (€400 last time for the OP3 which was latest at the time). Are you saying Aliexpress and Honorbuy are 100% legit and safe to buy from? What does flashing the ROM mean, literally making setup/default etc available in any language? Any other issues or precaution when buying from these sites, or is it out of the box ready to go (apart from needing new adapter)?

    Thanks a lot.

So the built in screen protector on my OnePlus 7 Pro 5G has took a bit of a knock and has a small hole in it, so I need to replace it at some point as despite having an Otterbox case on it, obviously the screen is now vulnerable to being scratched in my pocket.

Is there any screen protectors anyone can recommend? Something as close to the stock as normal. Don't really want a glass one, but know from the past that some of the plastic ones on Amazon / Ebay etc have a pretty rough feeling, want something smooth like original.

    Any ideas?

I dont have a 7, I have a 6T but, my screen protector got some damage after 10 months or so. So much so that I thought the screen itself was damaged. I took the protector off and the screen was fine. Ive been using it without a protector ever since and its still perfect. Keep it in my jeanss pocket most of the time.
