Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Aubameyang in the bag! :D

I've been searching for a top striker for what seems like years, so delighted to get this done (with what was just another random bid that I popped out!). Disapointed to lose Laporte, but i've still got Savic and Umtiti for my defence.

I was searching for players last night and was about to bid on him when I saw the accepted bid. Great signing!

Have an external bid for Casilla GK 89, if anyone wants him before I sell.

    Mangala, Sissoko, DeMarcos...

Willing to give 2 of the 3 for a 90 DC - no ancient ones please.

    =======================================

Looking to upgrade my DR (Janmaat) to 90 or better also, if interested, let me know what you need with Janmaat to do a deal.

Got the top scorer in Portugal for 2.8m. Hopefully keeps banging them in.

Rejected a few bids for Roberto. Would have to be a massive deal to tempt me.

Another trophy for my Liverpool team.

Pepe Reina saved 3 penalties in the League Cup final win and he's only gone and done it again in the SMFA Cup final!

So... I found a bid in the post earlier today...I accepted almost instantly! :p

If City bought Moussa Sissoko, if they end up with the Sissoko that played in the Euros for France ... cracking deal!

however, if they get the Sissoko that played at Newcastle and carried the Newcaste form to spurs .... i win :D

Barzagli will sure up my defence for a while and Betrand frees up jesus to become a DC

Best of luck getting him..I was waiting aswell but got caught out with the price rise....One thing i will say and it annoys me, players added to the game should be added to their real life club. Alexander-Arnold should appear in the Liverpool managers squad.

Doesnt the completely screw the likes of Cruzeiro, Pana, Hanover etc..?

Dunno if I agree mate ...

So the big clubs get the good talents added to their squad because ... they picked a certain team 2-3yrs ago ...

I reckon Standard Liege, Velez or LA Galaxy should all have the sam chance of getting a new add ... I'm not saying the current way of allocating is correct ... but jsut sticking players in the squad of their current RL club is harsh on clubs like LA Galaxy (as an example), not exactly known for nurturing young talent over there in LA

It should be a draft system at the end of each season. Weakest teams have first draft etc. Current system is ridiculous to anyone new who doesn't understand value changes etc.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,029 ✭✭✭Maldjd23

Not necessarily..Who is to say Cruzeiro won't produce the next Neymar? How many players have the big clubs produced? Liverpool for example, Sterling or Ibe? They would have appeared at QPR and Wycombe respectively.

Not a Liverpool youth academy product... ahem...

ok, in the context of our GW ... how many youths has LA Galaxy produced that went on to be 87 or better players?

Surely the other issue is that it just moves the 'auction' 3 months down the line if you assume that the players get added at the point where they still are at their 'small' clubs

At least then the small clubs can sell these players on if they choose. Or they can keep them.

    He did...

Point being Liverpool couldn't grow a good player to save their life! (Que the massively over rated and semi-reired S Gerrard fans, who by the way never won the league.... just saying)

Take sterling and Ibe as the 2 examples .. they would be at externals ... so auction-like free for all again once their initial TBs are over

anyway ... ya win the league and start looking to change the world ... #powertrip :p

The opposite...I am claiming he wasn't a Liverpool prospect!!

I am saying that over the last few years he is the best player to break through at Anfield and Liverpool were not his first club. It was in answer to another poster who stated if players spawned at their original club then all the big clubs would get the top players as they start there and therfore the smaller clubs wouldn't have a chance of bagging anyone.

I was arguing they don't all start at big clubs and in many cases it is the exact opposite. The example was Sterling...

In fact how often do big clubs produce top players? Barca are an obvious example but who else?

Yep, but nobody cares about externals, i am talking about managed clubs. If we are talking about externals i believe the bidder with the weakest team or player in that position should get him.

An don't get me started on Bayern getting JuanFran or indeed me getting everyone in the player sale!!!

Anyway..As champ my opinion is worth more than yours...So zip it!!!!:pac::pac::pac::D:D:D

I understand what you're saying but I think it's fine the way it is. As was said above, they'd be at externals and a free for all anyway...

Everyone has the opportunity to bid and nab the player. The mess of the value going up is a joke but sure, what can ya do?!

Okay.. I'll try another way to explain...

Basically I Bypassed the whole fundamentally pointless discussion that was being had (because IT'S NOT GOING TO CHANGE!) to have a RL Utd fan pop at a RL Liverpool fan in....

    Better?

    Why is it a joke?

Tbh I quite like it, if you don't put in the work you don't get into the final round of bidding....

Forces more people to log on more often, where is the downside?

If they could FORCE those people to check PM whilst on they have it locked down imo

It's obvious but I'll spell it out just for you ;)

    Price of player = x
Just before bids are accepted price of player = y
Price of player should remain x unless there is a change is the players stats, i.e rating, age, etc

    X + Y is the sum value of Z...

The other way of looking at it is, by changing the value of the existing player (let's call that a) to a higher value once added (let's call that b)

    End result is c...

C = reward for those who put in more effort..

    Damn, just been schooled son!
