Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I doubt this applies to vehicles you dont own, or rental vehicles.

    This is the most crazy taxation I have ever seen or heard of… they have basically used taxation to stop people bringing in camper vans from the UK … no wonder the price of second hand irish vans has increased so much …

    It my understanding that Ireland has been taken to the European court over this - lost - and keep on doing it because the fines are cheaper than the lost revenue.

    If you can find a newish Vat qualifying UK campervan the UK vat element should be removed from the UK purchase price as the vehicke is exported from the UK. If you search the normal motors forum you will finds discussion on it for cars and the same rules apply. There will also be much discussion about vat numbers etc so will have to filter through all that but the UK vat element should not be paid or if it has then reclaimed upon proof of export.
