Some issues going on there, but some parts look great! The bundts look good and the interior seems mint!

There's a blue Merc like that one in the front garden of a house on Botanic Avenue in Drumcondra. Been there a good few years now. Irish plates. Not too sure how bad it is.

Random old scrapyard pic found while trawling the interweb.
That MK3 Zodiac in the middle is a rare beast nowadays.

thats the name given to the alloys on that Merc. The name is derived from Bundt cake, which is a ring shaped cake. Apparently the wheels resemble the shape of the cake

These were on EFI; this Escort Mk3 has seen better days. The reg. doesn't come up on Cartell, so I assume it has been of the road since 1993, or before. Looks it too:

I pass a similiar car every day, has no cover, isnt as bad as that blue car, as its hidden, I can only see the front of the car and i think it is either a GL or a Ghia and on Irish reg plates too.

I think they are all rare beasts, Humber Sceptre, Wolseley 1500, Ford Zodiac, Triumph Herald, the blue car is a Morris Minor, but not sure, and I dont know whats next to the zodiac.....

That escort must have spent some time in the sea to get into that state.

It's located somewhere out in Sligo, so maybe the salty Atlantic winds probably ate it away.

looks like a gilbern genie ? i think the blue one is a riley one point five

    Nah, I'd say the red one is a Mk1 Austin/Morris 1100.

Blue one on the left looks like a Riley One Point Five

There was a story I heard about a priest in Sligo getting caught by the tide coming back from Coney Island.

Coney Island in Sligo bay is accessible only for an hour or so before the tide comes in. A road out to the island along the strand was started and never finished so just before the tide comes back in the sand has dried out enough that you can drive out on the foundations of the old road following the marker pillars. Apparently this local priest got caught out and didn’t make it to the mainland in time. The car was submerged and he waded to shore and then did as you might guess being a righteous god fearing member of the clergy…….
The next day he dragged it out let it dry out and sold it on to an unsuspecting victim.
This may be that very car!!!!!

Well, for those who don't know, I'm restoring a series Land rover and needed a chassis.
On a Land Rover forum I use a lot, a series came up that had a chassis replaced but then the restoration stalled and along came me.
It was touch and go for a while, as a few others were interested, but your truely got there in the end.
So, what have I got, have a look. Now it's back to stripping the old truck and building the new truck.

Like I said, it was an abandoned restoration so the new chassis has not been stamped yet and as such will transfer to my car and reg.
