Hey! I tried my hand at jewellery making a few years ago. It didn't work out for me. I have loads of charms, beads and supplies I'm looking to get rid of, cheap. If you're interested PM me.

    😀

Came across The Range new store opened in Blanchardstown recently, near Argos. Huge store with household/garden items but in addition they have an art & craft department. Just in case anyone is interested. Knitters don't bother, very little wool unfortunately.

Your suggestions don't have a town listed. As someone new to Ireland, I really need the town with the name of the place... I'm looking for the best place to buy canvas and paint near letterkenny or Derry.

As someone new to Ireland, you need to know that if someone mentions a place without mentioning the town, that usually means Dublin! Same with TV and radio ads - they forget that not all their viewers/listeners are in the Dublin area. :p

Best place for canvas & paint in Letterkenny is probably Donegal Stationery, bottom of the Main St, lefthand side. Sprint in the Market Square may be cheaper for canvas but doesn't have the same range of paints as they mainly stock school supplies.

I, stupidly, started a baby blanket with Aldi shimmer wool in white but I've run out. Would any have some stashed that I could buy or trade?

They don't seem to be on any of the Irish craft sites. I found 13.5cm ones on this UK site: https://www.cc-craft.ie/products/craft-accessories-and-decoration/polystyrene-materials/polystyrene-shapes?p=1

Otherwise its Ebay / Etsy / or order them from China....Wish.com or AliExpress.

A good while ago Lidl sold primed canvas on rolls. You can also get them here, here, and here but they may be pricey.

Hello. I would like to ask if anyone knows a good place to buy supplies like 100% cotton watercolor papers, pads and paints in Ireland? I was looking into some shops websites but I only found expensive ones (compared to amazon uk).

    I just found this: https://www.specialistcrafts.com

They're based in the UK, I'm not sure if they deliver to Ireland/elsewhere, but no harm in asking.

There's no link or image attached, as far as I can see.

Could you try posting that again, please, Lord Nikon?

If it's of any help, it looks a lot like one of the tools used in silk painting/fabric dying for pouring the wax/gutta/resist onto the fabric (I think they're called Batik Tjanting tools).

It might be easier to find one of those.

That's exactly what i'm looking for. I'll do some searching, thank very much.

Cork Art Supplies has the batik tools I think, or I'm pretty sure I've seen them in Cregal Art in Galway too. You can order online from both places.

Have a look in their online shop and email them if you don't see what you want. They have an huge selection that you just don't find in the usual fabric stores.

Mod: I figured this might be a good fit for this thread, too.

Hi, does anyone know where to buy a zip for a jacket at present? All Haberdashery seems under lockddown. And it's getting colder...

If the haberdasheries are closed (even in large dept stores), the only alternative would be online. Or from another jacket/item of clothing/old suicase/bedlined, etc. Maybe from a cobbler, the may keep them for boots, but they may not be long enough.

Large hardware shop, buy a sheet and ask to have it cut to size? Or ask in the wood work forum.

Thanks for the advice - looking for circular ones so hardware shop option unlikely but will try the woodwork forum.
