Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good example. I was keeping track on here today, and then out of blue something was posted on twitter but not here and it wins. That is the frustration of trying to follow.
Why wasn't that tip posted here like rest.

I can't repeat this anymore ... Tips are tweeted on Twitter first and foremost. If I put it on the forum here then so be it, I have made it clear. Follow me on twitter because that is the easiest place and the fastest way of getting time critical info out.
Its not like I come along after the event and say " I meant to post it" If people don't want to be arsed installing twitter, following me on that and rely on what I post here as a secondary data feed then there is nothing I can do about that.

Any time I have ever followed an unproven tipster I start with a £20 max bank !!!  That theory has prob saved me a lot of money over the years.  And I wouldnt expect my tipster reputation to be treated any differently.  Also suggest you don't go any higher  than 2% of bank per bet  .....  If you can't grow £20 into £40 then the system doesn't work or you don't have the patience.  Turning £500 into £50 is a mistake a lot of impatient people make.

the 13:50 was a let down.  Something frightened the folks with the money and the markets went buck mad ... hence the 3 rapid fire tips for that on 20 min b4 the off.  I layed the fav as well as I figured it was something about him that spooked the markets

    Odds of 34.0
    In fractions that's 33/1
Brain thinks quicker in decimal. Mine does anyways. Bookies default to fractions you will have noticed. I'm sure their research shows them that is better for them. Though I always use fractions when logged into bookies as it makes you look more muggish but its a pain in the ass

If anyone has taken the trouble to collate results you might start to notice a trend.  The higher the odds then the more profit.  This trend has been consistent since the systems inception.  It was not something the maths would have predicted. What does this mean for any one following these tips?
The fact we are in profit ( though well short of 1000 picks yet ) is not open for debate.  If you find yourself missing quoted prices by being a few min late looking then apply this simple formula.  % profit is proportional to the odds, so this means you can take a bigger % drop in the odds as the odds increase and still cut a profit.
If as I expect will be the case with anyone who does not hit the bookie the instant a tip is tweeted then they are less likely to get the price, apply this formula. Take the quoted odds,  divide it by 2 and the answer is the percentage reduction in odds you can afford to take.  Example.
    Odds quoted = 5.0 ,
    Divide by 2 = 2.5
You can take 2.5% less than 5.0   ..... not lot of leeway there !!
    Example 2
    Quoted odds = 51.0
    Divide by 2 = 25.
    You can take a 25% reduction in the odds for a 51.0 tipped price.  25% of 51.0 = 10.0   So you can take 51.0 - 10 = 41.0
... So if 51.0 is quoted ideally you want to get on at 51.0 but you will still make money at 41.0
So if you afraid of bookie giving you the boot because you betting with them too much ( and you should be if you not spreading the action around amongst friends )  then my advice would be to just cherry pick the higher odds

    For all those complaining
yes its hard to follow as they come thick and fast

yes it is unorthodox , backing ew and several selections in the same race

But stop trying to get the man to stop posting
There has been some serious winners posted , if you don't like or trust then don't follow but don't run him out of boards with your negativity.
We should always welcome a guy trying to take on the bookies , we should always give new theories room to breathe and expand.

Mayo man long may you continue

IFTTT alerts can be used to notify of tweets, might be useful to some.
I've just set it up, seems to alert within about a min or so of a tweet.

I've been going here and there with your tips over the past three days and I am up about 20 points. Just one question regarding your system that has been playing on my mind observing the way the market reacts around some horses you mention, do you ever benefit from a drift in the market?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,386 ✭✭✭mayoman1973

I've been going here and there with your tips over the past three days and I am up about 20 points. Just one question regarding your system that has been playing on mind observing the way the market reacts around some horses you mention, do you ever benefit from a drift in the market?
Not sure what you mean by benefiting from a drift?  The expectation is that the shorter priced horses are under priced and my systems selections are over priced. Very rarely do I get any BOGs as the SP will have generally shortened but have got some from time to time.  I did try with no success at laying off any horse that I back which subsequently drifted before the off. These ones normally broke even on the win and still made decent profit on the place. So all bets I do now are set n forget.
I have a bot running on Betfair that makes a small profit by laying underpriced favs in some of these races.  Esp ones where there are 3 or more outsiders popping up as having value.  With a market like Betfair which is as close to 100% efficient as you will get any +% profit is hard to come by as lot of sharp punters there. So in those races the theory is if there are 3 or more over priced horses then there must be some under priced ones as well and starting with laying the potentially under priced fav is as good a place as any. That laying system may prove to be a load of B***ix as time goes by or the markets may eventually evolve to close off any value that can be found but after between 3000 to 4000 fav lays it seems to be holding up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 457 ✭✭Richmond Ultra

Regarding the drift, I meant you put a horse at, 20/1 yet a while later it is 25/1.

Thanks for the explanation. Keep up the tips.
