    Tomorrow evening, folks.

    It has been so long.

    Izzy on the bench

Gilroy and Lyttle start on the wing, otherwise backs as expected.

    Jordi captains.

    Pack is experienced

Nakarawa to start. Nice preview for Ulster to get a look at him.

Not a bad Glasgow side named

Treadwell to win his 100th cap.

Gilroy to become the most capped player in the current squad with his 191st cap.

Probable debut for Izzy and Lowry will win cap number 40.

Cap 25 for Faddes should he come off the bench.

The daily commute to my kitchen table has given me a bit more free time:D

100 caps for Kieran. Izzy on bench is great.

There are a couple of interesting absences, given it's a must-win game (although they all are now, I suppose, if we want to beat Leinster.) Carter, Rea? Lowry covering ten presumably.

Started to write my post and then had an impromptu Zoom meeting.

Has Rea Sr fallen out of favour?

Been thinking the same, really only bench cover last few games.

Tough enough Glasgow team, now. Given how long it's been since we played, could easily see us losing this.

    Glasgow Warriors:

    1. Oli Kebble (52)
    2. Johnny Matthews (7)
    3. Enrique Pieretto (9)
    4. Richie Gray (53)
    5. Leone Nakarawa (73)
    6. Rob Harley (241)
    7. Thomas Gordon (27)
    8. Ryan Wilson (C) (181)

    9. Jamie Dobie (14)
    10. Adam Hastings (46)
    11. Rufus McLean (1)
    12. Sam Johnson (66)
    13. Robbie Fergusson (7)
    14. Ratu Tagive (20)
    15. Huw Jones (45)

    16. Grant Stewart (39)
    17. Aki Seiuli (22)
    18. D’arcy Rae (78)
    19. James Scott (0)
    20. TJ Ioane (8)

Some good players in that Glasgow team. Will be tight enough

    Tomorrow evening, folks.

    It has been so long.

So glad it's back. I was soo unenthusiastic about the 6N this year. Barely watched both matches (which I've never done)

Stronger than I thought! Though if we have any ambition of winning this year, need a bonus point win.

Really wish I could lose the mind set that unless we play full strength we’ll always lose.

DMcF was saying we were the only team in Europe to actually fulfil all our fixtures with no postponements etc - leaving us with five weeks with no games. That's the concern for me.

We seem to struggle at Glasgow's ground so a big performance is required.

I dont know about a BP win...I'd take any kind of win...but I know what you mean...we are already 4 points behind Leinster so really we need a BP win...we could win all our remaining games, finish with one defeat and still not make the final!

Crazy to think! Rest will have done the bodies good! This just hope the cohesion is there!

Odd no Carter, but looking forward to seeing Izzy.

Be happy enough if every week 1 or 2 academy players get even some bench time.

Lyttes first game since November as well.

Can we assume that Lowry will never play 10 as his primary position? It seems he is set as a 15 who is maybe 3rd/4th choice 10.
It's obviously related to his size as he certainly has the skills.

Sadly it looks that way. Don’t doubt his defence though. He just is to easy to man handle in the line and turnover. Compared to attacking with pace from 15.

Maybe. Real shame if he never gets a crack.

I see Marcus Rea is the back-up forward that's gone over.

According to the Tele, Izzy will be the sixth Academy player to make his senior debut this season, after Aaron Sexton, Nathan Doak, Callum Reid, Ben Moxham and David McCann.

Surely McIlroy as well?? Don't think Moxham was even in the Academy when he was called up.

Mcilroy made debut last season no?

Ah, maybe it was. Although was that not just a friendly? Can't be holed checking.

Delighted that Izzy seems to be coming on well.

Hopefully it’s not another 1 season 1 cap. He has looked very promising.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,757 ✭✭✭✭bilston

McIlroy came on quite early in the game away to Leinster last season. He acquitted himself very well given he was 18 or 19 at the time

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,435 ✭✭✭launish116

Talk about stupid going for line out when you have the scrum firing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,368 ✭✭✭Paul Smeenus

We look like a team that hasn't played in six weeks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Absolute slop so far. Neither side are able to sustain anything.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,435 ✭✭✭launish116

Been a ****e first half! Superb try there though.

    Isn’t looking good for Coetzee

That try was almost worth watching that half of rugby. We have not deserved the lead at all, the lineout is about the only thing we're doing right.
