Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thanks Gary Murphy , just collected a few bob- had Tiger and Hideki Matsuyama (know how to spelll it now)! Paddy Power treated them as a dead heat, so haf the bob's.
Great to get anything back off him, he's loaded!

UsPga coming up .. think 66/1 e/w is worth a few quid on Webb Simpson . zach johnson might be worth a few bob too at 40/1 .

Went for three players last night based on a little bit of research.

    Henrik Stenson @ 25/1
    Keegan Bradley @ 35/1
    Jim Furyk @ 70/1

Went for Furyk because of one of the guys on PGATour.com who felt he was being underrated having had two straight top 10 finishes. He's had a great start so hopefully he keep it up!

Apologies for putting these up after play has already started but only on now.

Every major since probably 2008 I've been backing Scott and Garcia, my two favorite players. Not really a indepth researched bet, but I knew at some point they will win a major and I'd cash out big.

I got Scott yesterday in my local at 23/1 best price, so fingers cross he keeps up the good form ;)

Said I'd give this a bump to avoid lads picking up bans.
Stephen Gallagher at 100/1 looks worth a stab. There is little to no value at the top end of the market for me but there are a few solid players who can get the job done at 50/1+

    Just because it's a Major

    Snedeker
    Furyk
    Westwood
    Dustin Johnson

    R Fowler 43/1
    D Johnson 45/1
    Z Johnson 59/1
    B Snedeker 64/1
    K Bradley 119/1

Five against the field for me.

Look like decimal odds from Betfair. Scott's odds would be Sixteen and a half to One, for example

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

    1) Stenson @ 18/1, $25
    2) Scott @ 18/1, $25
    3) Kaymer @ 25/1, $25
    4) Mickelson @ 25/1, $25
    5) Els @ 100/1, $20

    All E/W.

    gmac 33-1
    fowler 40-1
    furyk 80-1
    jason day 28-1

    Lowry 70-1
    Bjorn 55-1
    Hoey 150-1
    Woodland 125-1

All of the above e-w for me 1-7

Matsuyama @ 55/1 and Ilonen @ 80/1. Decent 1st rounds for them both.

Ya, I expect Ilonen to have a decent showing, he's had a very good year, showing recent form and won The Amateur Chamionship on this course in 2000.

Freddie J is my other outsider at 150/1 and at -2 also, I'll take that. Fowler my short price pick.

In other news, my 4 picks from last year are a combined -19 :(

    Early days yet.

For this week at the USPGA, I've backed Leishman @ 50/1 and Koepka @ 200/1. It'll probably be another Rory show though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,562 ✭✭✭Tiger Mcilroy

Have mcdowell 40/1 and lowry 125/1 for first round leader..both ew 5 places..

thought lowry was a big price as he is capable of going very low if he gets going.

I backed gmac at the same price to win the comp. PP only 6 places which I think is a bit mean.
Stuck a tenner on Rory at 5's, just because its so obvious.

Lads what odds are ye getting on Rory.

Lads what odds are ye getting on Rory.

5/1 is about the best available. Don't think he should be that low, he's not played here either so I can't see him winning, big ask to win on his first visit. Saying that I have money on him as a saver invade he does win.

Garcia, Smedeker and Kuchar for me. Snedeker @ 66/1 is great value. Small bets on Lowry @ 100/1 and Zanotti @ 400/1, which is a mental price in my opinion.

    Outright
    Snedeker
    Walker
    Holmes

    all ew

Koepka had a very good day today but too little too late. Added Ilonen @ 50/1 and Stenson @ 20/1 at start of day. It's getting interesting now too.

Will discuss that with the other mod and cmods as it might prevent the main thread with being flooded with betting posts!

Also means when they come on they will see thread active at top and will reduce interruption.

    Reduce or redirect.

Fine by me keano, if it stops gambling posts in the masters thread I'll be happy. we might even sticky it from now until the end of the tournament.

Interesting stats here for long drivers if you consider Bubba has won twice here recently.

    Might help a bet decision

I did the same getoffthepot. His record in Augusta is a very mixed bag but like you I was tempted by that price after his recent showings.

Good call - he will be near top 20 at some stage.

They normally don't last the 4 days but - maybe Langer is only one who does at this stage.

Yeah that's the worry, but he shot 66 on Sunday, so who knows.
