How or when did you get JB at 200/1?

during Pebble, pre Doral. He was like 47 in the world, not guaranteed to get in at that stage.

Had him at Doral at 90/1 and he burned me bad!

    He's there again this week...

Done Jb ew @ 66/1 & Zach Johnson @ 100/1 was in an out as I tend to get carried away betting on the masters & before I know it I have about 10 back

So trying to just stick with 2, although I think Rory is nailed on.

For the Masters have gone with:

    McIlroy win @ 6/1
    Spieth e/w @ 10/1
    Walker e/w @ 22/1
    Casey e/w @ 66/1

    Poults e/w @ 70/1

Plumped for Dustin Johnson EW at 16/1 and Brooks Koepka EW at 66/1. Both have won on tour this year, and think Johnson has ironed out some of his recklessness. Only really put in Koepka to keep things interesting, but he could pull off a Speith-esque performance in his Augusta debut.

Here's hoping for a great weekend's golf though

    My Masters bets

    Par 3 contest: Padraig Harrington €1 @ 20/1 = 21

    Outright all e/w
    Name_____Odds______Stake_____Return
    J. Speith________11/1______10_______ 78.75
    H. Stenson______18/1______10_______ 122.50
    R. Fowler_______ 22/1______6________88.50
    C. Schwartzel____80/1______2________204.81

Would be lovely if they all finished top 6. Would even settle for 3 top 6 finishes :)

Does anyone know what the rule in the bookies is if you back a player to miss the cut and he withdraws?(TIGER):)

Mods will prob move this in here. It's a better place to get your answer.

Afaik, once he starts, you bet is good.
Not sure you would get anyway decent odds though, I'd imagine he is priced at odds on to miss it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,564 ✭✭✭kiers47

Think he is 10/11 to miss. It all depends on what your perception of good odds is. 1/4 could be good odds in the correct circumstance.

I would have been thinking it would be priced 1/2 or worse. 10/11 is tempting. I'd have the voodoo doll out.

    Brooks Koepka EW at 66/1.

Any update on his injury? I am tempted by him too, but he has a rib injury and I can't find any updates on how it's affecting him this week.

Tbh i think its probably priced about right. I have him more of a 4/5 shot to make it so 5/4 to miss. Each to their own though.

There are some great bets lurking around in some of the more obscure markets.
Thought Matsuyama to be top Asian at 4/5 was more than fair.

Jimenez is 2/1 to be top Senior player. Its either gonna be him or Freddie but thought he was more of a 6/4 shot

    5/1 to make the cut

    40/1 top 10 and I'd consider it ;)

I put a couple of quid on it with PP @ 40/1 e/w

Cant see him winning it at all but with 1/4 the odds for a top 6 finish plus his insistence that he was staying away from the tours until he felt he was ready makes me think he has a small chance at a surprise challenge.

Even 2 quid each way is a 20 quid return for a place finish or 80 if he does pull off a shocker.

If your into small amounts then its not a bad bet as there is little to lose, but if you prefer the ten quid + each way bets then possibly not worth it

I know it sounds mad, but I think Tiger will surprise a lot of folk this weekend, in a positive manner...

For anyone who is not aware, Paddy Power are offering Rory @ 20/1, with a free bet of your original stake if you loose, so it's a pretty sweet deal

    for new accounts only though

I've a Euro on podge on the pure basis that he's so competitive he's probably the only one in the field actually trying to win :p
