Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can't watch it on UK Prime. Have a free trial already. Says it's not available in your country. If I use a VPN it recognises it and won't let me in!

Apologies in advance if you have looked at all this already but have you tried contacting them. Screenshot above says available in Ireland use primevideo.com

That's perfect! Many thanks. Had to change my country to Ireland from UK!

    Glad you got sorted.

I can't edit the original post so just an update.

You don't need a new account, you can use your current account, just sign in to relevant amazon website and sign up to prime that way.

Amazon Brazil has music included and a yearly payment option (around 15 euro a year right now i think) but I've noticed different content.

India, as far as i am aware still only accepts vouchers

I did this only last week. Getflix was having issues with Prime video UK so I took out a Turkey prime trial on the same account. Works perfectly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,853 ✭✭✭bromley52

So when signing into Prime how do you switch between UK prime video and Turkey?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,156 ✭✭✭✭Sleeper12

I'm pretty sure I signed in to the turkey site on my phone or PC & started watching. A pop up asked if I wanted to change my region from UK to Turkey or Ireland. I clicked Turkey

How can you sign up to a non Irish Amazon account when it wants to send you a verification code to your mobile?

If they sent me a text then it was to my irish mobile

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,613 ✭✭✭Del007

I've tried to sign up to a new account but I can't use my mobile number as I'm using that already for my own account

    There was a problem

    • The mobile phone number you have provided is already in use. Please use a different mobile phone number.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,156 ✭✭✭✭Sleeper12

I used the same account for Turkey as I have for amazon UK. Same phone number

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭mistress_gi

Just sign on with your regular account to amazon.com.tr and join prime thay or, and i might be wrong but when signing up to a new account you can skip the phone number step.

I recently signed up again for UK Prime.

Can I cancel and sign up via Turkey with the same account and will this loose my Prime uk postage benefits?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭mistress_gi

Yes, no postage benefits with prime from other amazons sites

Does anyone know if the add-on stuff only works if you have Amazon Prime UK, right? Like Hayu, BFI, Starz ?? I don't think you can add it on on the Irish Prime :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 156 ✭✭cudsy1

Is it only thru Amazon uk that premier League rights apply?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 624 ✭✭✭beolight

Managed to navigate way to 30 day trial on Amazon Turkey. Can you change language to English on the Amazon turkey site? If not how do you get the yearly subscription option?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,156 ✭✭✭✭Sleeper12

As far as I remember I used Chrome Browser to get to Amazon Turkey. I have Google Translate on this Browser so wasn't difficult to navigate

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭mistress_gi

Did you get sorted? I don't think there's a yearly option in amazon turkey, i ended up going with amazon prime brazil because of that and it includes amazon music (not included in turkey)

Are English subtitles available when using this method? I'm currently a Prime Ireland subscriber and looking at switching to Turkey/Brazil/India

  • Registered Users Posts: 37 Tamoreit

Yes, I'm subscribed to Amazon Prime via Turkey and English subtitles are available for me.

I'm not so sure. I am subscribed to Amazon Prime Turkey but have Getflix Smart DNS set to the UK. I was able to watch the rugby (Wales Vs NZ) and am able to watch EPL replayes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,829 ✭✭✭masterboy123

Can I use Amazon Prime India in Ireland? Or is it Geo blocked?

My work mate who is from india is happy to provide his phone number if needed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 200 ✭✭w4ntedman

Even getflix not needed (for the rugby at least) I have prime Turkey and was wasn't expecting to be able to watch but it's working fine without any DNS vpn etc fiddling

Do I need to create a new amazon brazil account using the details from the fake Brazilian account? I could not get the address to accept the zip code? Thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭mistress_gi

Just sign into to amazon brazil with your regular amazon account

  • Registered Users Posts: 344 ✭✭pastor

Thanks, yes I tried that but I was not able to complete the address part. I was able to add the CPF number no problem but the address would not accept the zip code so was unable to proceed. The zip code is the numbers with the hyphen between them? I removed the hyphen. I no longer have the fake id details for the CPF number does that matter? Thanks

Thanks OP, I now have Prime Video, Netflix and Youtube Premium for prob less than the of any single subscription if bought through Irish route.

Is Now TV worth getting? Does anybody know of any similar way of getting better price. I know for all of these, you can keep re-reging with new email addresses and get free trials forever, but I much prefer the set it up once approach. And even though I'm paying less, I still feel like I am contributing somewhat rather than flat out 'stealing' content.

It's working for me using the free version of windscribe set to the UK. I have the Turkish prime

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,156 ✭✭✭✭Sleeper12

Far better than now tv is hbomax. Unless you need the sport that is. Hbomax is like now tv movie and entertainment rolled into one. HD is standard with many movies in Dolby Vision and dolby atmos

The only way to get now tv cheaper is to cancel each month or when your current offer ends. You can usually get a half price offer then. Its much more expensive than hbomax & highest quality they can offer is HD and dolby Digital 5.1 sound

    Hi,

I spent a lot of yesterday trying to get this to work.

Managed to sign up to Prime Video Turkey and it shows whatever library of the country you're in, which is great. But no Music Unlimited available in Turkey.

Managed to sign up to Prime Video Brazil but what it shows is hit and miss depending on where you are, and it won't let me sign up to Music Unlimited without a Brazilian credit card (Revolut or Curve didn't work).

Tried Prime Video India too - got it workingwith a gift card but Music Unlimited not available in India.

Has anyone found away to get Prime Video (with access to UK/Ireland library) plus Music Unlimited from some country at a reasonable price, or alternative a way to get a student membership for UK/Ireland?

    Thanks!

There is a thread for YouTube Premium for under €2 per month for a family plan. You get YouTube music included for free.

Maybe cheap YouTube & cheap Turkish prime together might be what you are looking for

    Thanks!

Yeah - I have sorted Netflix, Spotify and YouTube but just wanted Amazon to complete the set. It's more about the satisfaction of finding ways around the system than anything else!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭mistress_gi

For music (only available inluded in prime in india or brazil) you have to first sign into the music app on your phone with the vpn set to the relevant country. After thats it works perfectly

Just realised you were talkingbout unlimited. I just use what's included.

Netflix is the one I'm struggling with. You using the Turkish Netflix vouchers or manage to do it with revolut?

    Hi irishchris,

Turkey - used vouchers to pay for a month, then it reverted to using my existing Revolut card that was saved in the app.

  • Registered Users Posts: 205 ✭✭SitUbuSit

Philippines - it was a rigmarole and took me days to sort out.

The challenge was payment - can't even remember how I figured it out - but think it involved setting up a PayPal Philippines account - transferring some credit from my regular PayPal account to it to cover first month, and then linking my Revolut to it which kicked in for subsequent months.

Anyone know how to fix this...

I registered a new Amazon account in Turkey at www.amazon.com.tr and purchased Prime Video.

I then setup a Firestick using this new Turkish account and sideloaded UK and US apps. My Firestick is registered at amazon.com so I went there and set Content preference to UK, as I have DNS server set to Amazon UK.

Issue is if I use Prime on Firestick or primevideo.com on my laptop, it only shows Turkish Prime. But I access through amazon.co.uk, I get access to the full UK stuff including sports.

So question is - is it possible to sideload some version of the Prime app onto the Firestick that will show the amazon.co.uk version of Prime?

Complicated stuff that I've wasted a full day on now...but trying not to accept defeat.

Unfortunately nowadays trying to register a PayPal account in the Philippines requires a local number, so this avenue is closed for new registrations :-(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,853 ✭✭✭bromley52

Install Aproide TV on the Fire Stick. Open and search Prime and install the android TV version. Use the Turkish Prime on that. It's separate to the native version. You can use a smart DNS service like Getflix to change Prime countries but without it you will get Irish content which has improved a bit over the last week.

But firstly you would be better off registering the Fire Stick to either a UK (not Irish) or USA Amazon account. Doesn't matter which. Install what ever apps you need. You can then switch you account to the other country the get the remaining apps. All apps will then auto update.

  • Registered Users Posts: 205 ✭✭SitUbuSit

    Thanks for this.

I registered the Firestick using the same email address I setup for Amazon Turkey but because Firesticks are not available there, it automatically registered my Firestick to an Amazon account at the .com US site. From there I was able to change the account to UK and USA to get the relevant apps I needed. I have it left on UK now so that all works fine.

I also sideloaded the separate Amazon Prime android tv app but it's still just showing me a limited catalogue when I login with the same address even when account set to UK and using UK VPN.

I only get the full catalogue through the amazon.co.uk web interface. If I try access primevideo.com, it tells my my account is managed by amazon.co.uk and a one-time location update to Ireland is needed to watch on primevideo.com

    Any ideas?

I think I registered an SIP phone number there or else setup one through Skype. Can't remember which.
