Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Benefitting from new scrum half partner

That's absolutely brilliant from Ireland. Great kick from Sexton and furious follow through from Ireland.

Finally....for the first time in ages we have put a short grubber kick in behind and look at the havoc it caused. England did a number on us last year with their kicking in behind....great option to have.

Been impressed with JGP. Not doing anything flashy but rather focusing on getting the ball out to the first receiver quickly. It's not allowing the Welsh defence to align properly.

If you could distinctively describe methods of try-scoring and bet on its outcome. We'd be like 1/5 favorite multi-phase pick and drive inside their 5m line.

If we can just get another 9 or 10 kiwis/saffers out there lads we'll be well on our way to a WC final.

Wales are absolutely dire so far.

    Absolutely.
Hopefully he is not getting injured.

Yup, that's where Murray lacks. No fast ball, and he's had all of the running coached out of his game.

    Ah for Jaysus feckin sake.

Sexton's hamstring is gone. Was having a brilliant game.

Make them think twice about the rush defence.

Sexton gone, out for a number of weeks now as well

Ah no. Sexton has a problem with his hamstring.

Very good performance so far. Powerful and showing great intent.

Is Billy Burns not Freddie Burns brother? Is he not English?

This is a huge chance for Burns, can't imagine he'd thought he'd get more than a courtesy 10 minutes at the end

He walked off, might be a lower grade tear

Balls. And Sexton was looking sharper than he had in a while, mixing things up way more than he has in ages. At least we get a proper look at Burns.

    Born in England, Irish grandparents.

Changing of the guard at half back, ( temporarily anyway)

    Sexton gone, hamstring.

Huge opportunity for Burns, we have wales on the ropes - I hope he puts the hurt on them.

Interesting that Ryan is captain now and not POM

    Looked harsh on porter

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,363 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Unfortunate for Sexton but it doesn't look too serious. Personally I'm glad to see him rested ahead of Leinster's CC games and force Ireland to play without him and blood 10s.

    That's a bit harsh

Faletau has been coasting in the red shirt for a while now.

Unfortunate there. If POM doesn't knock on we have quick ball in the Welsh 22.

I've seen hamstring injuries recovered from within a week. It's a big muscle but when it goes you feel it and if you are sensible you back right off. Hopefully it's relatively minor.

Good game for BB to make his debut. Ireland are dominant, just not really reflected on the scoreline.

I think the whole game so far has an eye on the future

And to be fair, POM doesn’t need an armband to show leadership

you cant have your captain looking for a fight at every ruck anyway.

    Wales looking consistently offside

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,223 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

I've never seen an Ireland side dominate an opposition's set piece as much as tonight.

After having our pack bossed around a lot in recent times we need a bit of fight.

It's knowing where the line is, judging the ref

Conway giving Davies a sneaky whack on the head there too for good measure
