VDF has been anonymous. Doris again is good. Great feet and lovely hands.

His chase back after 1/2p kick was very valuable though

    Good half from Ireland.

Dominating the set piece, good speed of ball from JGP. Farrell and Lowe going well. You'd have to be happy with that so far.

Some very quick hands by the Irish team as well. The change is approach from the Schmidt years is very evident this evening.

Gibson Park isn't amazing by any means but the difference on the speed that he operates is unreal.

We're playing well here. Like what I'm seeing at set piece and in phase play. JGP is getting the ball out very quickly and giving it to our forwards at pace. We're getting beyond the gainline so often and Wales are really struggling.

But we really should be 20 points ahead rather than 10. One errant lineout and a couple of bad decisions near the Welsh line have cost us. Need a few cooler heads in the Welsh 22 and the trys will come.

For clarity for the 2 English speaking teams

When they are talking to each other?

Anyway they seem pretty fluent so maybe it isn't a big deal to them.

Can’t remember an ireland game where I’ve been this disappointed to be only winning by ten. We should be out of sight.

Great performance by the pack. Completely dominant. We just need to get those 5 pointers when we are at their line

How many penalties did we win from quick ball out of the ruck? At least 2 by my count.

    1 bad lineout IIRC

We had a few other changes where JGP went the wrong way, was that him or did he get a call?

Really encouraging expansion of the gameplan

Doris at first receiver 3 or 4 times too which is really good as players are playing off him.

We will get better in the 2nd half.

    Wales are absolutely shocking.

Something needs to be said or done at half time, they're working very hard off the ball but showing absolutely no invention with ball in hand.

If Ireland get their act together in the second half this could be a blow out.

Lowe, JGP, Roux & Doris have been really good work to give us the lead to date. Hope it continues.

    Farrell too has been excellent.

JGP quick, but a couple bad decisions going down the short side and box kicking (for the two or three times it happened) mixed. If he tidies up them little things he could easily overtake Murray but pace alone isn't enough IMO. His passing has been accurate so I dont know what the story was v France with Byrne catching the ball in all these dodgy ways.

Keenan quietly reliable (which is good considering the collosal fails of Stockdale - we'll take quietly reliable). Lowe doing well ball in hand, as is Farrell. POM with his usual couple big moments. Kelleher throwing has been good bar the crooked one to the back 5m out. Porter destroying his man at the scrum, puzzled as to what the one we gave away was for.

Doris quiet enough, probably could do with a second carrier like CJ to grind so he can do his thing in the more dynamic areas. Disappointed Ryan dropped that ball but him and Roux getting through work.

This is rather good. Fast ball is killing the Welsh. Sweet.
Unfortunately we've left a number of points out there.

    Hopefully Ireland can push on.

I know they have had a bad run, but when I was reading the team list I paused thinking it might be a concern - must be missing gatts big time.

Jesus about 4 tries left out there

According to Squidge they made less metres vs Scotland than any team has ever made in a World Cup game.

Could this be a game of two halves?

Doris has been excellent IMO. VDF been the quietest player really.

Wales couldn't give a continental about the game

I don’t think that’s true at all, they’re just not very good.

Nobody in the world is less interested in this game then Gareth Davies .

Need a good second half now. We disappointed against France after an encouraging first half.

Yeah, they badly need a win. 5 losses in a row. They can't lose again. They just aren't very good. They should be thankful we're missing so many and have lost Sexton now too. He'd been playing really well. Burns has gone well though so hopefully we can push on.

Wales don't even look like they could score anything at the moment. But that start in the 2nd half looks good for them.

Shanklin comes across as a very level-headed, unbiased commentator.

POM gave the lineout to Wales from that replay.
