Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

One thing that I feel really hurts the PL is the fact that not only are the players the same every week but the format is the same also.

Changing the format week to week would make it more interesting and since it’s a glorified exhibition anyway they might as well push the boat out a bit. Off the top of my head they could use a quadro board, play 301 instead of 501, play double start, etc. Maybe it’d be gimmicky but I’d be a lot more likely to tune in.

Had never heard of a Quadro board before. They should definitely do this!!

Looks very odd but the board and Phil's appearance ha (looks like a dodgy 80s car dealer)

They go up for auction on eBay every now and then and go for a good price.

I think it would be class for maybe a once a year major/invitational or something like that and they could play 901 or some other high number ending in 1.

would be some craic as not only would it showcase the dartistry, we could also see the "mathematicians" going about their business and have a laugh at the headscratching of some when they're close to a finish :D

Good to see Willie get a chance considering he's not even in top 32. I was hoping that Steve Beaton would get a place

Good decision with dezwann an Jermaine aswell. If the real players beat a contender the points dont count still is it?

Last year the actual Premier League players were playing for points in those games but the contenders were not.
Not sure what the story is this year.

went a few years ago and was serious craic

I see that Willie O Connor will play MvG in Dublin...

Interesting that Durrant will play Sherrock. Think he said during the world's he'd rather play Dobey than her. Not just because they are mates, but because he didn't want to play against her and the crowd.

Still probably beat her quite easily.

Heard on Sky this morning that Lisar got her card yesterday in Q school..

Looking forward to seeing her getting taken to school on many's the occasion,
    - going forward, as they say - not that I dislike her or anything; and she's a good thrower too... Just the hype that goes with females and darts..

Doubtful she gets into PL... Just wanted to go off on one :o

Guaranteed she'll be mentioned in about 1 out of 5 matches by comms - So not entirely posted in wrong thread :P

I had a quick look at the highlights this morning. Very uninspiring stuff as expected. Henderson was a massive disappointment, he was terrible and the crowd lost interest very quickly.

In a way its more interesting, you have a 128 different players, countless tasty match ups, some streamed

and because unlike the PL , the players champs is a ranking event, it feels more important

Do not think this will be watchable tomorrow going by the hype sky are pushing out already. Comparing her to serena Williams ect ****ing joke

Just giving this a quick watch tonight... Even the players don't seem to be especially interested.....interviews afterwards betray the exhibition-type nature.

Fancy a handy win for Durrant here. Hope the booing thing isn't a thing anymore...

A bit of cheering when Durrant is missing big darts in the last 10 minutes

Yeah, just a smattering, which is good, bit to be honest, it all seems a little subdued..... Oh, here we go.... Cheering misses.... I suppose they've paid their money, and haven't had much to cheer so far.

Durrant a bit sour in that match for my liking. It's only a glorified exhibition ffsake.Face like a summons.

Durrant was pissed but handled himself well in the interview after. Fair play to Fallon, played really well.

Crowd were a disgrace again , not a word from the ref , sky had crowd turned down as much as possibly and you could still make it out.
    Duzza looked pissed off

Your forgetting the small part the crowd played in the game jc

Fair play to Sherrock but I really do think the crowd gives her a significant advantage. That game tonight gets played in an empty room and Duzza wins imo

Not only does the crowd effect her opponents, but it seems to give her a boost, youd fancy her to take out anything under 130. Wade like.

I'd say sky are gutted the world series is on itv

i think there's loads of pressure on her and her opponent , if she gets battered 7-0 , she goes away fast, durrand struggled with the pressure , she finished really well

Don’t watch Premier league but surely the same argument could be made re crowd noise for Gerwyn Price? A hostile crowd is a hostile crowd and gender neutral

Ah stop, what price gets is nothing compared to Fallon opponents.

The crowd obviously have an effect but shes good to watch, youd fancy her to take out anything below 130, wade like

would anyone have any idea what hotel(s) the players stay in when they're over here for the PL or know of anywhere else to catch 1 or 2 of them for an autograph or photo?
