Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

OK a bit to do on this.

Will try and look at the design today.

Do you have a rough price point? Or even the price of previous jerseys

There is an excel spread sheet on one of my posts with prices.

The Strike jersey is generally around €75 I think with the Core model a little cheaper.

If we get a big order maybe a discount could be discussed with John?

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 23,231 Mod ✭✭✭✭godtabh

I've asked john to look at 37095 in the link below

    https://poly.google.com/user/5nd3J-iIqxx

Boards crest where there is FV/YC, boards bands on the arms, 'Four Ten' on collar and 'boards.ie' on the back.

    I like it simple!

Any suggestions please post a mark up here. May still need to be signed of by HQ

Is it just jerseys or will there be an option for bibs, gillet, arm warmers etc?

Bring back the Velotec Pink jerseys and I'm all over it. Otherwise nah, the latest design is horrible looking

    It's a bit effeminate and YouTube-y IMO.

Time for a grown up design?

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 23,231 Mod ✭✭✭✭godtabh

By all means suggest something different but we need examples etc so it can be put to a vote? Also be aware of the pit falls of design by committee

Not bad. I think the collar might be better as 410.

ive decided to stop wearing black jerseys/jackets on the bike as much as i can so a no from me (i have loads of verge club kit anyway !)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 825 ✭✭✭devonp

Its a bit too black and simple. Could the stripes on the sleeves be incorporated into the bottom of the jersey body and back too just to break up some of the black?

what are the origins of the colours, btw?

They are the colors of the verge designs we have done to date.

Why on earth would you want it to be 'neutral'. Cycling shops are full of 'neutral' jerseys if that what you prefer.

Agree with this. It's too plain. A bit more colour on the front or even shoulders would break it up a bit.

It's a bit more gender neutral, suitable for all. Maybe balanced is a better word.

    Is there an alternative?

Don't like it either personally. Plain black jerseys with minimal trim are available from everyone.

Like, it's nice and neat, but the last design was fairly minimal too. Would prefer a splash of colour again.

Personally I'd be 38132 SS Jersey or 38006. Combination of past colours with a little less black.

38132 is very nice. I quite like the body design of ART38001 style but with grey or black shoulders/arms

I'd prefer 38132 too, tbh. Black main body with the boards colours as the stripes?

I actually don't have too many plain jerseys (retro pro jerseys are my goto when not in club gear) and would still be in, but I wouldn't think that 38215 design as above would increase the number of jerseys spotted!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,986 ✭✭✭Plastik

Prefer the black. Less is more.

I’ll ask John to look at the other codes mentioned and then put it to the vote?

Sounds like a good plan, but just remember, if it's 52-48, it'll be far from over!

Just go with the first one godtabh got done.
Whatever design that john gets done someone wont be happy.
We could be here for weeks arguing about a design!

I think a vote would be good. 3 or 4 choices, 24 hours voting time and go with the most popular.

Putting this out there for consideration (and subject to HQ ok)

Verge can do multiple design with no minimum order. If HQ sign off on the use of logo/text people maybe able to design what ever they want and order it.

The flip to this is that if we can guarantee a minimum order size on one design we'll get a discount. How much will depend on order size.

The conditions of the above maybe something like an agreement with John that the only text on the jersey will be 'boards.ie', 'Four Ten', or '410' and the only logo would be the boards logo and suppliers?

Not sure I have the skills or colour vision for self design, but the plain black one and a more colourful one might work? If it was going to be a vote between two, just have it as the two as options?
