Tackling a few hills in the Cévennes at the weekend just passed. Heading to Mt. Ventoux this coming weekend and had to order some extra kit. Snow due in the morning and temps of around 1 degree!

A magical borren which I was sure would be a cul de sac but despite the grass and large sections of missing tarmac never did.

Also a photo near a very interesting slate quarry near Tullaghought

They would be the Monavullaghs (although everyone calls them the Comeraghs) from the Cruachan to Seefin. The Comeraghs are north of the Gap.

    Nice rig

I know, (I live by Mahon Bridge) but many would just know them collectively as the Comeragh mountains.

Whats touring around the place on one of those like? What kind of speeds/distance do you do?

  • Registered Users Posts: 345 ✭✭Gwildor

It's extremely comfortable. No sore backside at all. You can ride around for hours without having to get off. It's slower to go uphill than a normal bike, but every bit as fast, if not faster going downhill. I average 18 - 22kph on a short 30km spin on the Greenway.

what's the make/model, and where did you get it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 345 ✭✭Gwildor

It's made by ICE (Inspired Cycle Engineering) in Falmouth, UK. Mine is the Sprint X Tour. The front fairing is made by HP Velotechnic in Germany.

I think I'd need a different house for one of those;)

I wonder could you rent one for a weekend.

Park was lovely today. Nice and calm on the side roads while I was there (only there about 30 mins now). Ideal really.

Someone dropping their R's or a reflection on motorists' emotions in the Park yesterday?
