Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I thought it was in the Aviva. I’m glad so I didn’t make the effort to head out there and decided to watch it on tv instead.

You thought the World Cup was on in Ireland?

Anyway the Aviva has no roof, ( If you have ever been there :))

Why do Dublin people ALWAYS do this??? The storm is coming from the Atlantic so yes, it will be stronger on the west cost.

The hype over this has been ridiculous. From a county cork point of view, it was never an orange warning, even going by the forecasts at the time it was issued. All week you have staff badgering businesses to close, teachers telling students they may have to close etc. What a load of ****e !!!
Well Ned my collie is still curled up in bed. Usually when a bad storm is approaching he's up pacing around about 12 hours beforehand.
Ned is still in the bed which suggests nothing going to happen for at least 12 hours.
Ned just got up, put on his shades and hopped back into bed!

    That's everything round house sorted.

    All drains cleared of leaves.
    Car in garage
    Clothes line down
Swing on its side with boulders on it
Football nets on side chained to big tree
    All planters in garage too

Hopefully it will all be unnecessary.

Radar not showing rain in cork for the last half hour or so but it’s still very heavy drizzle currently.

Steady rain here in Wexford for the last hour or so, it's actually less breezy now than it was earlier.

Whereabouts? I've been out all morning and not seeing anything unusual, mild if anything.

UCD. Seems to have calmed down now though.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

It's spitting rain in South Dublin and nothing more than a strong breeze, with calmer intervals.

Go Ned, sleep in your bed, rest your weary head and only come out when the weather warning is red.

Dublin 7 - been grey & darkish all morning. Started raining now - not expecting anything major but would expect some strong winds this evening.

I have no idea! I can recognise some breeds eg Belties. They are my neighbour's and a small mixed herd . Very tame as he treats them so well . a gentle man. Walks them from field to field for better grazing.

    Prime Time Storm Special tonight!

It doesn't justify a Prime Time mention, the thing has been reduced to nothing.

The media in this country are quite embarrassing.

I understand that but it seems that it's coming in weaker than expected, with Cork even being removed from orange status.

They know right well that most of the country have been spooked into thinking we're about to see the storm to end all storms and will tune in. Cash money on their ads.

Where is that coming from? None of the Met Eireann forecasts have anything more than possible heavy rain and some wind.
