Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If it is coming from Howth Head area, I would say it's the first to come from that area in a long long time. When was the last time a pirate came from there?

Spirit radio's 549kHz AM currently transmitting 1kHz tone at varying levels, instead of regular audio.

Update 1:30, Just checked again and programme audio has returned

AAC is better quality at lower bitrates. A 128kbps stream in AAC would be nearly equivalent to a 320kbps Mp3 stream.

Correct. We removed Dublin's 102.5 KissFM for being inactive.

I also unsuccessfully tried to contact the radio station owner a couple of times.

A year on, and it might not be the same station. But 927 kHz is carrying All 80's. The only announcement is All 80's Music. Fairly strong in Dundalk earlier, down in the mush after dark. Weak on the SDR in Carlow. On DAB and 101.3 MHz in Dublin?

    https://ieradio.org/all-80s/

Edit: Probably the same operation that is/was on 1350.

I haven't heard it but the 1350 transmissions was heard in the Netherlands:
    http://www.skywavesdx.org/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=6396

BTW speaking of MW, I noticed a mixture of WINS 1010 New York and Newstalk 1010 Toronto were relatively easily receivable yesterday morning and this morning approaching 8AM, I heard both of them (one fading over the other), on a car radio tuned to 1008 (it does 9kHz steps only on MW, now if only it also did 1kHz steps for transatlantic DX reception it would have been better still)

On the way home from Belfast this evening Storm NE sounding well on 104.2FM, Nice & tight with good audio, Signal strong around Dundalk, Doesn’t really get a mention on this page because it’s not in Dublin.

Plenty of US and Canada stations coming in, especially in the mornings from now on. The most reliable frequency is 1010, but 590, 750 and 1130 can be strong as well.

When conditions are good it is worth checking every 10 kHz, remembering that frequencies like 720 and 1350 are both Region 2 (Americas, 10 kHz channels) and Region 1 (Europe/Africa 9 kHz). Region 2 channels go up to 1700.

There was discussion on this on the SDR thread in Hobby Radio.

All 80s now live in Dublin on 93.2FM and 1395AM , also announcing 92fm and 927 AM in the Midlands.

    Audio quality is very good

I would imagine that Energy (Power) AM were relaying this All 80s station on 1395 Kh, They have done this before other like-minded stations.

What's the story with the the other frequencies in the midlands, though? How does that work, or are they relays as well? Also, is The Cube now renamed All 80s or is/was it a different station?

I just hope it's consistent. Past history tells me it'll be gone in a few days though. Pop up stations tend to be just a bit of fun for the operators, which is fine.
