191-D-5287 - an Audi A6 on the quays.

    The devil drives a Peugeot.

I saw a 191-C-666 white Expert last night.

An uncle of mine got 665 one year and was told (probably wrongly by the salesman) that 666 gets skipped?

191 -D959- Ford Transit Van. The boom must be back if business are able to buy new vans again. I was driving behind it for ages before I copped it. That's transit vans for you style of it hasn't changed in donkeys years.

Knew a guy who had 666 on a Brava before so it does get used.

The lads driving them don't care how they look. As long as it takes either a euro pallet or 8by4 it fits a lot of needs for businesses. I salute businesses who invest in new transport, boom or no boom. 191c1337 Octavia 115bhp last night on the M8.

Why must almost every electric car be ugly as sin? Ioniq, Kona (looks bad as a normal car but then block out the grille and it's even worse), Model X, i3 are all awful yokes to look at.

There was a Alfa 156 GTA with a 666 plate on it, thought it was incredibly apt!

On the 191 front, another Kona Electric. This one being the mothers that she was finally able to pick up. She's coming from a Renault Captur and seems to be liking it a lot.

I saw two more 191 Electric Hyundai Kona's near Dundrum Shopping Centre yesterday.

True, the whole grille being redundant is a thing, but Tesla managed it with their other cars, and the new Leaf is pretty decent looking, doesn't explain these abominations.

I think its because they don't want the masses buying them yet. Make them less attractive and people will be less inclined to buy them. The Teslas are the first electric cars that look good, because they are trying to compete with the luxury brands. I would imagine the profit margin on an electric car is smaller for companies, and that they are getting kickbacks from the oil industries to continue R/D into making people keep buying oil products.

A new model Transit came out in 2014 or thereabouts so recent enough. You could argue that part of the Transits success is precisely because it evolves over a long period.

The current model replaced the 2006 facelift of the 2001 Transit.

The new leaf is ugly as sin, as is the I3.
Model X is a bit bulbous but I think it's good looking.
The model 3 and both pre and post facelift model S are good looking machines for sure

I think the Ioniq and Kona are good looking cars. If you want an ugly car the Nissan Juke is ugly but a least it is different and stands out.

Lots of new 191s out today.

Seen a white 191 Nissan Micra looked good had nice alloys but was missing fog lights, a 191 VW Passat in silver, a VW T-Roc in Orange 191-OY-306 also an Orange Dacia Duster 191-OY-96 top spec chrome mirrors and all the rest. Orange could be a popular colour this year.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Tbh I think the Tesla’s are ugly too. Striking yes, in a “that looks different” kind of way, but in no way good looking imo. And the interiors are horrific.

The big one looks like a bigger old model Mazda 6 (with much bigger Panel Gaps)

I agree the interiors and the touchscreen are horrific. I think any touch screen be it in a car or as a phone, tablet PC etc are horrible. I will never get why people like them. I hate them.

I had a good mooch around the model x when I was in London. I really liked it. Lovely place to spend time driving. Each to their own.

Snap - every time I see one I think of a 6 as well.
The interior of the Tesla is decades behind the established car marques quality wise. A 10yr old one is going to remind you the way an Accent from the noughties feels now....

Seen a black 191 Skoda Kodiak today and it had 150 after its county on it. The person driving it seemed very happy.

That new model came out in 142 there's not much you can change with the style of the back of a van in fairness

They are. Audi didn't master panel fit, door seals and the best interiors over a decade. 5 decades more like....

    Any breakdown of sales ?

First 20 day registrations here thanks to SIMIs Motorstat. Market down about 13%. Big drops for Toyota and Mercedes in particular.

In terms of best selling models - the usual suspects at the top. Kona new into the top 10 - only surprise is seeing the Golf falling out of the top 10 but the medium sized hatchback segment is being decimated by SUVs.

If you want any more brands/models let me know and ill dig them out.
