Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My camera screen at the back of my phone cracked today. The phone has been in an otterbox defender from day one.
I've seen quotes as high as €400 to get the camera screen replaced.

I do not have the phone insured and Samsung say its not covered by the warrenty (even though there are thousands of people with the same complaint).

Has anyone here had to have the camera screen replaced.

If so where did you get it done and how much?

Anyone else having issues with the finger print scanner the last few days?

Mine is basically unusable, I'm lucky if it works after 3 tries ,more often I have to enter the pin.

No issues here. Are you using your own screen protector? Or the factory applied one? Have you tried resetting your prints and setting it up again.

Not using any screen protector but will try resetting the prints.

Anyone here order the S20+ 5g from eglobal for 630? All it says is G986 model, can't tell if it's Snapdragon or exynos, it can be either depending on whatever letters after. Just wondering as I ordered it today and hoping it might be snapdragon, thanks

You’d be extremely lucky to get anything from that gang this time of the year

Getting a moisture detected message for a week now without ever getting the phone wet.

What are my chances of getting a repair/replacement?

I ordered direct from Samsung. Will they need me to give the phone then get a replacement or will I get one sent out turn I have to send the broken phone? As I think I remember reading here that they send one out to you?

Have you tried cleaning out the port? Very gently with a tooth pick, and see if you can get a can of compressed air.

It's a great phone. Absolutely love it. Exynos chip and all. Battery life may not be as good as the SnapDragon variant but I'm always close to a charger (if i need it) so it doesn't bother me.

Good to hear they actually got it to GLS anyway, I wasn't expecting that.

I ordered the 22nd so might get mine this side of Christmas or I could have missed the batch yours was in and be waiting another while.

Just installed the One UI 3.0, Android 11 update.

I had been using Nice Lock to change the pull down menu colour from the standard blue to red, this now appears to be gone and I can't seem to see another way to change it from that ugly blue.

Seems to be a good few on Adverts for E619 from phone shops in Dublin city center. Are these a good deal or best to be avoided? Any other recommendations where to buy for around this price would be really appreciated.

Considering getting an S20 on upgrade from Vodafone. Works out at 300 quid. Would I better off waiting for the S21? Past experience suggests the tight ***** wont drop the price that quickly and I need a new phone as I ****ed my old one.

How many people on here have had the back camera lens break for no reason?

It happened to me when the phone was in my pocket with nothing else in there.

A perfect circular hole right at the lens.

It seems to be a common issue but Samsung are not admitting any fault.

Here's a link to the forum discussing it.
Over 60 pages but nothing wrong with the phone according to Samsung.

I had to get mine fixed and pay for it myself.

€60 to replace the lens cover but there is still dust inside the new lens cover.
The repair shop have advised the next repair will be €120 and they would replace the entire back glass.

From a reseller here locally that I worked for at the time I bought mine, no some are awful, but most are fine, I read all reviews before purchasing, length of time they were selling on adverts etc and then purchased, anyone with more than 5/6 negative reviews I left there,,,,
I can recommend a polish guy who sells on adverts etc, who I purchased from last year, he's all positive reviews, my brother was working in Dublin, met him there, checked him out - all good
I'll pm u his number if u want

The S21 is most likely getting announced on Thursday so that should bring prices down a bit more on the S20.

Overpriced anyway, nice bit of kit but personally I couldn't justify the prices for myself, even getting my kid the S20 plus for e635 was way too much

Time for an upgrade from my Samsung S10 but worried about the price of the Samsung s21. Even on bill pay it will be expensive

Suppose the freebies do be good and more than likely they will give them only with the most expensive model
