As well as the Merkur, I'm also selling a nice Seiko SNKK29J1.
Im only selling it because it's just a bit small for my wrist so I haven't worn it.
Bought this year and it comes with an extra Barton elite silicone strap blue/light blue colour. Im selling it for €70.

I'm selling my Oris Big Crown Pointer Pointer Date. 40mm case, red dial/steel bracelet version. Bought the watch 2 months ago - putting it towards a new watch. I love it but I've got to make space. Still under Oris warranty etc.

    https://www.oris.ch/en/watch/oris-big-crown-pointer-date/01-754-7741-4068-07-8-20-22

    Looking for 1200.

Also selling an apple watch series 3 WIFI + CELLULAR. Watch is practically brand new. Apple sent me a replacement a few months ago for a cracked screen and I've not been wearing it as I've bought a few new watches and it's getting no wrist time. 38mm, black sport strap as well as olive green strap. Looking for 245

I'm trying to sell my Stowa Chronograph. It's a somewhat reluctant sale but I accept that the watch is just not in my regular rotation and it's too nice to just be left sitting in my watch box. Good news for whoever buys it.

    Link to adverts:

    https://www.adverts.ie/dress/stowa-chronograph-1938-two-stowa-crocodile-straps-deployant-box-and-papers/14564620

Comes with box, papers, two croco straps, Stowa Deployant on one strap, Stowa buckle fitted to the other. The straps are 100 euros each from Stowa. Both have lots of life in them as they were lightly worn and at 22mm are very transferable to any other watch. They gre one is quite dressy. The dark brown with white stitching more relaxed. The watch was fully serviced including refinishing the case, by Stowa in 2016. No dings/scratches at all to the case/crystal. Everything works as it should.

At 1000 I'm genuinely at the bottom end of my price already. That's less than half price for the package, for a watch which is as new.

I have eyed it for a long time! Sadly just a little to big for me!

1000 seems to a very fair price.

Still have 3 on the block but not much interest on adverts. I can understand the lesser known micro brands like the Prometheus and the Armida but the BFK

Anyway links below if anyone is interested..

    Prometheus https://www.adverts.ie/sports/prometheus-piranha/17748955

Cheers! I'm kind of half-hoping no one offers the asking.

Sure let me know if you ever want to try it on anyway. Im.based Dublin city centre, Northside. We can talk bollix about watches if nothing else.

It is fairly thick alright (inevitable when housing a valjoux 7750) and that's frankly one of the reasons I'm selling. It's kind of a...dress-casual watch?

Good luck with those Homer. I wish I had spotted the Armida when I was looking on there a couple of weeks ago for a dive watch. Don't know how I didn't see it.

    Nah - Not doing that.
    DHL maybe.

I tried dhl and they told me to go pound sand basically, they said they only do that for companies and not private customers

I shipped a watch to the UK yesterday morning using DHL Express and insured it. The insurance fee was 1% of the value of the watch which I felt was fair.

This morning I received notification that the watch had already been delivered.

Did they know it was a watch?

Yes, the lady asked what it was and the value.

EDIT: I just checked the waybill and it states "WATCH"

Was it an account already registered with dhl for shipping or were you just a one off customer sending a single item ?

    The internet isn’t for everyone

My first time shipping with them and it was a single item.

That’s a strange one, I have a pile of emails from them telling me they wouldn’t even quote me for the item as they don’t ship watches for private customers and their insurance only applies for registered businesses, I was looking for pricing for the U.K. then Europe and then the rest of the world so I could flip a few things on chrono24, I didnt fancy selling my date-just, day date etc on adverts

Maybe something has changed with dhl recently

That is strange. The only difference I can think of is that I went in person to DHL Express.

FYI - This is what I received from WatchFinder UK when I asked about shipping: "Most my Irish customers use companies like DHL, Fed-Ex or UPS to send their watches but any courier would be fine." It doesn't mention insurance however.

Howya lads. Just trying to pass this Seiko on.
It was too small for my wrist when I bought it from creation.
    I need a 45mm +, for comfort.
I've lowered the price today to a bargain imo.
It has an unusual face which I think is a nice summer wear.
Im building up the funds for a new Gshock.

    Would you post for 60?
Not sure I'm mad on the colour of face, but might take a punt on it

You could post in a jiffy bag rather than box to save on postage.

Thats an excellent deal! If this had been available 6 months ago I'd have jumped at it!

    Very nice

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,315 ✭✭✭Frankie5Angels

Love the PRS 516 above, mine is still one of my favourites. Steinhart is lovely too.

    Ceist agam daoibh, lads:

I have a Grey Dawn Seiko Samurai, which I love, but really isn't seeing much wrist time. If I were to move it on, what would be a reasonable price for it? The reason I ask is that I see some on Chrono24 going for mad money - 800 and above sometimes, but generally around 700. These are untouched, plastic still on etc.

I would state I'm not looking to make a buck on the watch because of this, but nor do I want to find out two weeks later that I've sold for x and the lad who bought it off me is selling for a profit of 200 or something because I'm an idiot who doesn't know what's what.

I paid retail for it, it's in great nick apart from the usual swirls on the bracelet and has about 18 month warranty left.

    Any ideas?

  • Registered Users Posts: 832 ✭✭✭funkyouup

Are you planning on putting it on Chrono24, keep in mind posting abroad can be a headache?

You can do a search on ebay to show what items do actually sell for, might be worth doing a search with the ref number and see what people are actually paying.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,315 ✭✭✭Frankie5Angels

Nope, I'd be keeping it local - Adverts (yay!), here (hopefully). I'll have a look on eBay - thanks. Tbh I never even consider eBay when I'm looking to buy or sell stuff! I'm just curious about the prices as I have no idea how it might work on these limited editions.

  • Registered Users Posts: 832 ✭✭✭funkyouup

Id like to see it anyway, im definetely interested.

Dunno if chrono24 is a reference. I see Steinharts for 1000€ that are available new for €600.

Post up your seiko pics. What was retail on it?
