Cloud broke to give hazy sunshine for a few hours this afternoon in West Clare, pleasantly warm, ocean very warm for this time of year too! (Anyone know if Sea temps are up a bit?) Dense fog patches started forming at around 21:30 this evening now merging to form a dense fog here in West Clare, extremely pretty just after sunset. Sadly the camera refused to capture its beauty.

Nearly 3*C higher than the June average: http://www.seatemperature.org/europe/ireland/kilrush-june.htm

Anyone know when this heat is going to drop. I love the sunny weather but find anything over 20 degrees unbearable.

I think a lot of it has got to do with humidity rather than heat. Gets so flipping humid in Ireland.

24.4 yesterday was a max so far for me, in Offaly. Today may be the peak of this spell. I'll take a bit of rain after this for a few days for the garden veg but don't want low pressure to take too much limelight this month....have to be careful what you wish for weather wise here.

Another humid night. A little more comfortable than yesterday.

Fabulously sunny again today, micks weather site for Waterford says 20.5 which is just about warm enough with a warm breeze.

Nice work, I'm thinking of getting a tower fan but the heat wave will probably be gone by then....

Temps topped out today in Castlebar at 24.8C, just 0.2mm of rain in nearly 3 weeks now, its has been a very good stretch of weather for us, humidity has been a killer at night the last week or so, consistently in the 90's.

It's very weird - I am in South Dublin, near UCD/Donnybrook and it's the patchiest looking fog I have ever seen.

Had the same last night in West Clare, it was very pretty though!

Coming home from work on the bus in cork city and there is not a cloud in the sky. Awesome sauce. What a time to be alive in Ireland. And I'd like to thank the leaving and junior Certs for the continued mighty weather.
