Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    The guidance counciller and teacher were trying to force me to do lca and my teachers would not let me do higher maths despite showing them the results

    I'm moving schools too, and pretty much for the same reason. It's a pity, but for the best in my opinion.

    Didnt get my results yet i was mainly getting b's and some c's in the tests in school. Subject teachers thought i was bright and the yearhead and principal otherwise cuz i have slight learning problems which actually makes me look smart

    Its pick and choose situation in my old school and i felt it was pointless cuz teachers picked only the mature ppl

    I did it because i just felt i wasn't ready for fifth year, really feel i have matured and actually can't wait to go back, probably feel different after the first week :D

    Yea some of my friend were feeling like that and they got rejected for ty and my school made two of them do lca and they did ok in school average scores in the c range

    Yea ino one of them was devistated cuz his mam accepted the lca place and she doesnt know what it was. His mam isnt the intellegent kind according to him and she has not great english

    They're only introducing LCA into our school for the first time this year. Only a select 20 students from 4th year and 3rd year were picked to do it!

    Ah we had Christmas Tests and Summer Tests :eek: It was a pain, trying to get them done on top of all the extra-curricular stuff!

    Im going to try get anywhere in ireland, if i don't i will try europe, don't think i can do uk anymore because they all need chemistry as far as i can see and i couldn't do that :/

    Also ASFAIK Italy have medical courses taught through English. Not sure about the fees though!

    Well i could have but i went for business instead cuz i find it an easy A, its one of my best, also felt 3 sciences was bad if i wanted something else in uni. Tbh im already doing French outside an possible applied maths in school when i go back so i think 9 is enough hahah

    Oh yeah I get you.. I'll probably have to do French outside by myself as well, for matriculation. French was my worse subject for JC (the only C I got :mad: ) so I dropped it for 4th year. I'm going to try to take it back up again though. So I'll be doing 9 as well which is kinda stupid but I'll see how it goes :eek:
