Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We hired a mini bus Ro and it was great craic but the gig ended at 10.30 and our bus didn't get on to the n2 till 3.15, a disaster it was. Its a good thing the gig was as good as it was. I have no doubt Shane will be heading down for AC DC with you.

Ya that film looks deadly Ronan,

I love how it looks like a documentary at the start.

I going to see Bill Bailey up in Duplin next weekend, Has anyone seen him? I've never so much as seen him tell a joke outside of black books.

the trick to getting home to dublin from slane is to aim for belfast! navan is just too packed. head for m1 a bit beyond drogheda, and cut back. easy peasy! the trick to get home from punchestown is blessington. blessington is your friend.

    AC/DC sounds good...think I might take a wander over

Feck...had to walk from Goff's to Punchestown as the shuttle bus service was a joke...

    Got Drenched..

    Had to walk back again...

    But it was worth it...

    I am drained though.

Was a class gig, we went through Blessington stopping for pints along the way, no traffic trouble, parked in the red car park and were let out of that pretty early on the way home.

Seems Goffs was a nightmare, I'm glad we gave that a swerve.

Finally made it home from my mate's wedding in Tallinn which was on Saturday.

One of the lads nearly collapsed on Monday on our way through Copenhagen Airport, puking blood and sweating like a paedo in a Barney suit. Got him admitted to hospital, turns out he has a tear in his stomach which was exacerbated by the weekend on the piss.

Had to travel to Hamburg and fly from there, I am bolloxed.

Can someone explain this anti-blasphemy law or point me to the right forum where I might learn more about it? From what I've heard, it sounds like a huge blow to free speech.

Are millwall fans really that bad? In any Footy hooliganism film it's always the feared millwall fans are the big villains.

Years ago, they would have been quite bad, although a lot of that is a thing of the passed. In saying that there is still a bit of it out there, sure look what happened at wembley last week !

I've been to a few hairy places (almost made Cardiff except for flight problems) but I would not go to The New Den.

They are still very active, it's just that being lower league they don't get the coverage that a PL side would get.

The Championship has some proper ding dong meet ups this year, Millwall, West Ham, Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds, Leicester, and Pompey all very active, and Coventry, Palace and Derby aren't far behind.

    Absolutely.

Sure one of our top boys drinks in the C&H and I nearly got dragged into some nefarious activity before West Ham away a few seasons ago by him and a few of his firm :D

not having a pop at you therecklessone (you've earned your spurs home & away) but don't mention pub's
the said pub is frequented by a lot of the old school who grew up on the manor and like to have a pint in peace and quiet after being around the corner watching the pole dancer's :D
why do you think the mong's from N5 tried it on a couple years ago and ended up going shopping in sainsbury's instead

I can count on maybe two hands the amount of people who post on this entire site and know what pub I am talking about in that post.

Failing that C and T on the door can handle themselves.

p.s. I was one of the first in the door after the Herd Yoof went to top up their Nectar Points that night.

I assume you all saw Torres miss today. What do ya think? Worst ever premier league miss? I remember a certain Milenko Acimovic missed an absolute sitter for us (against Ipswich maybe?) a good few years ago. that was the worst I had scene but I think Torres has it now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,059 ✭✭✭Pacing Mule

It's up there with Rosenthals classic miss (was that in premier league or was it last season of the old division one ??)

Oh i remember the Acimovic miss, it was against Fulham and I was at the game. It was actually harder to miss than score from where he was haha.

Steve Stone had an absolute howler as well, with Villa i think? Nope , it was Forrest, just found it on utub.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0WoEYCv4rU

I think the best thing about Torres was he did all the hard work so well and then to miss an open goal

A shocking miss as you having done the hard work. Such a crucial miss too considering it would have made it 3-2, it would have been game on then.

He did, took his goal very well.

The way they lined up 2nd half really suited him.

Can I also say what an absolutely cracking weekend of sports it was?

Rugby, the All Ireland, PSV-Ajax, two top games in the PL on Sunday, the Old Firm, Napoli (actually, Cavani) handing Meeland their arses, Keano scoring another in the MLS.

The only downer was Shels losing in stoppage time (again ) to Limerick.

All of this was helped by UPC+ (or you poshos with your Sky+ :p)
