Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Should I be looking at the likes of Viagogo already for this or are more tickets likely to go on sale closer to the event? I joined that one club so I’m getting priority for any other tickets but I’m debating whether I should take the plunge and get tickets on Viagogo provided they aren’t astronomical in price.

6 of us going up for the Friday. Just wondering if anyone thinks it'd be a good idea to hire a mini bus for the day and whether or not potential traffic would make that a really bad idea? We'd be travelling from Dublin so was thinking 3 or 4am start, watch the golf then leave around 9 or 10pm. Thoughts?

I’m staying in Belfast and wondering about traveling up to the course on the Friday morning. Is there much parking around the course?

I would expect the parking situation will be park and ride and quite a distance away.

Space around the course is limited.

Got mine there. Its £240 for a 2 person tent for the Friday and Saturday night together with parking for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. i'm guessing its £40 per person per night, £30 for parking on the Friday and £50 for the weekend parking?

Parking free at the Irish open. I appreciate the BO is a much bigger event, but I think we will see a lot of cashing in at Portrush.

Does anyone know if its up to Royal Portrush to set whatever prices they want, or is it set centrally by the BO people or European Tour!?

15 to park! Going to coin it in there alone.

I presume there will be a park & ride set up.

The cost of camping I'm told is £50 per night per person, plus £40 for 3 days parking. Suppose it is what it is when you compare to getting accommodation somewhere in the vicinity...

Has anyone received their tickets yet?

I had an email last week to say tickets will be posted out 4-6 weeks before the event. If you opted for e-tickets they'll send you a link to access them.

For anyone looking for accommodation. I just booked a room in the Premier Inn Coleraine which is around 20 minutes from Portrush. They seem to have a few rooms available. 199 GBP for the Sunday though.

RTE is reporting that the daily capacity of Royal Portrush has been increased from 40,000 to 43,750. They're saying you can register to buy tickets but I suspect the waiting list will gobble up the extra capcity so if you haven't already registered, it may be too late. Officially on sale from April 15th.....

Additional tickets will go on sale for The 148th Open at Royal Portrush on 15 April, after the capacity of the venue was increased for all four days over the championship.

Extra tickets to go on sale for Open at Portrush

Got email and was happy, but have just bought a house so think completion is around that date, no travelling for me.

That's one name off the waiting list anyway

Is there actually a waiting list? The email mentioned first come first seved but I took that to mean on the day they go on sale rather than who was on the waiting list first.

Hopefully there is a waiting list anyhow as I joined the One Club way before the event sold out in the first place.

There was a waiting list alright, you had to sign up for it. These could be first come first served though, but wouldn't make sense to do it that way if a waiting list is in place

Now that you say it I think I signed up for that once it sold out. Hopefully they go with the waiting list as I’d imagine a lot will be signing up late now.

    Get Ready for 10am!

As a member of The One Club who is on the Ticket Waiting List, you have first priority on the additional tickets that are being released for The 148th Open at Royal Portrush.

This is just a reminder that the tickets will go on sale in just under one hour at 10am (BST) today.

Tickets will be available for you to purchase via this link.

We expect tickets to sell quickly, so make sure you're ready for 10am with your One Club login details handy, and we hope to see you at Royal Portrush this summer.

Same here, really poor show by the Open. Surely they'd have been expecting high demand

Do these muppets have a twitter or facebook to tell em get their website working? amateur hour here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 675 ✭✭✭ABitofsense

Theres alot of people giving out on Twitter but there is no replies or communication from them at all. Very poor especially with how the Masters finished they should have expected a huge influx of people

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,823 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

So did people that joined the waiting list yesterday get the same link as those that joined last August? Makes sense

I go in briefly but it said my log in details were wrong. I reset my password yesterday because I created the account ages ago but said my details were wrong. Had to reset the password again and by the time I tried to get back in I was too late. Hope it doesn't sell out soon.

  • Registered Users Posts: 207 ✭✭LastLagoon

Was sent on a link from a user here but no use, possibly one time use

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,274 ✭✭✭techdiver

I eventually got in and then it told me I wasn't on the waiting list! WTF!!!

I am on the waiting list, I received the email FFS!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 736 ✭✭✭TCM

I got my tickets through THE ONE CLUB last July.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,872 ✭✭✭Redo91

I'm now getting the following message:

Due to very high levels of website traffic, we apologise that this page is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.

Is the link people are using from their e-mails beginning with "news"? Mine is and I'm just concerned that there's no mention of tickets in the link itself.
