Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Argentina are 275/1 and they have nearly as much chance. :D

Those units aren't going to last long!

With Paddy Power, you can walk into a shop and deposit money into your account. I'm sure the other bookies with physical shops do the same.

Cool, thanks! And I'm just wondering, do you know if you can set up an account online without making an initial deposit, and depositing money after?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,549 ✭✭✭✭Judgement Day

I'm pretty sure that you can open an account online without an initial lodgement but it's a while since I did it. You should sort yourself out with a PayPal a/c though as it makes the whole process much simpler - for me anyway.

    Definitely

They aren't going to be fussy about how they get your money!

Paddy power and other similar places are blocked by my ISP. Feck sake.

Just think there's a bit of value in it. Would still see nz as favourites but think sa have a decent side right now and are capable of beating the ab's especially with carter out and now mccaw.

Paypal is handier than depositing in shops I find, there's nearly always a massive headache when you try to withdraw in a shop.

Bloody hell, what kind of nanny ISP are you on

Withdraws and foolish football bets are reducing the size of my 50 units... :(

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 18,217 Mod ✭✭✭✭CatFromHue

My 50 units won't be deposited until the Rabo starts, maybe even the second week of it.

I don't know enough about French rugby to get involved.

Racing were a write off, but Argentina can get me back on track later.

Lost on Racing, recklessly put 10 units on a treble of

    Casters @ 1/16
    Toulouse @ 1/9
    Canada @ 2/7

Wow just wow. Just Bordeaux and Argies left, called everything else wrong. :(

My first win of the season with Argentina/Australia gets me to 46 units

And here's me still very happy with my 50 units!

Real rugby is starting soon though. We'll see how long that lasts.

My new strategy of sleeping on it paid off again this weekend and my balance is now almost four times what it was at the start of last weekend. Going for first half points - even with the ABs can be tricky - but less chancy than many other predictions. Try scorers can also be hit and miss but after Ben Smith's hat trick in Australia, 13/8 to score an anytime try was too good to pass up on.

Sorry for more after timing but given that I didn't decide on my bets until 4 mins before the game...:D

After last weekend's disaster I'm taking a break this week!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

I was going to begin this week but I got caught up in work so couldnt "do" my "research"

(This is in no way related to Thomond not doing his and me not being able to copy him)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,549 ✭✭✭✭Judgement Day

I'm staying from betting this weekend too. Thomond could have started a trend...won't somebody think of Paddy Power and the lifestyle he has grown accustomed to. :D

Shocker from Racing, think I'll oppose them going forward.

    5 units on Toulon -6

Indeed, down to 48.1 units now :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,681 ✭✭✭✭P_1

More Top 14 tomorrow, some crazy things have been happening with some of the handicaps. Perpignan started out at -12 at home to Grenoble, they're -21 now.

Going to change tactics for this round, taking a .25 unit Yankee on:
    Clermont -21
    Castres -10
    Oyonnax -4
    Toulouse -9

New to this bettiing malarkey but saw that the Olympics 2020 were Madrid, Istanbul and Tokyo. Assumed Istanbul are unlikely to get it so in a 2 horse race is it free money?
Got Madrid with Ladbrokes @ 11/4 and Tokyo @ 5/6 ,the only way I can lose is if Istanbul gets nominated (which is probably what will happen)

Are there any online accounts offering bonuses for joining up?

I hope you've done your sums right. With even stakes on both Madrid and Tokyo a Tokyo Olympics @5/6 will leave you out of pocket.

I had a Ulster to beat Dragons down originally but thought about it and reckoned it was being greedy and went for a treble only. Slow and steady wins the race.

God loves a chancer and things certainly weren't looking great for Leinster (13-7) when I stuck my bet on. Whatever happened to the great Leinster tradition of losing the first game of the season? :D

    Scarlets+vs+Leinster.PNG

All Blacks vs Argentina tomorrow....more than 18.5 in the first half - possibly, and Dan Carter a try at 15/8, Ben Smith a try at 1/2 (crap odds but he's looking like a try scoring machine (5 tries in two tests)..and a small bet on the All Blacks to win by -48 at 11/2.

At the risk of queering Munster's chances tomorrow I fancy Casey Laulala for a try at 11/5 and Ian Keatley at 11/2. Pity that the match is in the field.
